Desk Phone and Desktop application Sync
It would be useful to sync the desktop application with the physical desk phone so that when clearing voicemails both are updated. OR when a call is answered on the desk phone it doesn't appear as missed in the desktop application

We are a recent convert to RingCentral from a larger deployment of Shoretel. We sure do miss Shoretel, but knew that we had to jump off that system as Mitel didn't have anything that we wanted to move forward with. That said, our staff became very acostomed to a seamless movement between desktop software and desk phone. Whatever action they took in the software was reflected on the phone, and vice versa. When they went to check VM in the software, it would light up their phone and play audio through the phone. If they checked VM on the phone, the status and storage of that VM would immediately reflect the status they gave it during their session on the phone (heard, deleted, saved, forwarded, etc.). While desktop pairing of the telephone device on a user's desk is helpful, the fact that a user cannot get VM audio through their phone if they interact with the VM in the software is very odd. Additionally we used to do a lot of ad hoc assistance calls with staff and the inability to do a desktop screen share when deskphone pairing is on and audio is going through the phone is a tremendous step backward from Shoretel. In the Shoretel system we could do an ad hoc screen share in the software, to the connected user, with audio going through the desk phone.

It just makes sense to have everything sync.

Syncing between desktop app and physical phone is very essential.

It would also be helpful if we reject or ignore a call from the desk phone, the calls should be rejected or ignored on the RingCentral app. Currently, the behavior is that the calls once rejected or ignored on the desk phone, it continuous to ring on the app.

When setting DND on using the phone, it would be nice if the desktop app also showed the DND status.

Would like to see that the call presence when changed on the phone also update the app. So they do not have to always use the desktop application to put their phone into DND

This should not only happen for the mitel phones, but for ALL phones from RingCentral as well. We migrated from Mitel and had to get new phones through RC, and when we found out that our new phones didn't sync with the app, like Mitel we were upset to say the least.

Hi everyone, for Mitel devices DND sync, Call Logs sync, and Personal Contacts sync are all planned (Q4 - Q1 depending on the model). Thanks!

This needs to be a high priority. More and more users are being migrated over from Mitel Connect service along with their 6900 series desk phones but these do not fully sync with the desktop app yet. For example: Caller ID is not transferred with the call, DND status is not synced with the app.

We have been advised that the Mitel 6900 series phones will be accredited by RIngcentral on the 8th of June, 2022. It would be very useful if the Mitel desk phones and the Ringcentral desktop apps are in sync after the accreditation. Can someone please confirm if this would be the case?Moving forward, it is becoming increasingly important to get this synchronization enabled as it is such a vital component of how most users would want to use their phones. Mitel MiCloud and MiVoice Office 250 had this synchronization working like a charm and the sooner Ringcentral sorts this out the better it is in terms of customer experience.

We have been using Mitel connect on PC with Mitel Deskphones and depended on the PC app to be our user directory and start calls on the deskphone. Once answered on the deskphone the Mitel Program kept the dialer up and showed call length and all features like end call, transfer, hold and more to manage the deskphone call. I am shocked after migrating 250 users that your desktop app does not allow controlling of deskphone calls.

Syncing the contacts from desktop app to desktop phone (yealink T48S) would make both more efficient and useful. Not need to enter info twice and attempt to continually update and maintain.
