Delete bulk messages/Conversation in Unified App
There needs to be a way for admins to delete bulk messages.
This is on our 2025 Roadmap!

has anyone had any luck talking to RingCentral about this? I have tried to call and ask for a supervisor but was hung up on. I find it ludicrous that something so simple has been neglected for this long. I tried to email the chief technology officer but could not find a working address. I can't believe that management knows about this ridiculousness, I am guessing if we can make them aware of it they will light a fire under someone's ass and get something done about it. Should take the coders about 30 minutes to fix it! I do not have time to sit here for an hour deleting messages!

Make it so that you can select items and delete them all together. It takes three clicks to delete each fax message using the desktop app.

Allow to delete the entire conversation or be able to choose multiple messages to delete instead of one by one

Please add this function to DELETE BULK Direct Messages, not texts. We (your customer) do not need the messages and RING CENTRAL certainly does not need to hoard this information on the "cloud". Do you? Thank you.

i need to be able to delete the previous unread in bulk. like mark all read. i have 100 + in the text and dont know when i get a new one because it always says 99+

Users should have the ability to delete multiple messages in a conversation in RC Glip.

As an admin that is deleting a conversation, message by message this morning..... there has GOT to be a better way. It floors me this is not ad admin right.

It will be a tedious to delete messages one by one in a chat conversation, as what the existing messaging/chat apps has, RC App / RC Chat should also have this feature.

Definitely need this - I have applied retention period now but have thousands of old messages to delete and doing them one at a time is not feasible

please add feature to delete an entire chat conversation rather than manually delete one message at a time. This is basic feature and should have already been incorporated.

We must be able to delete 1-to-1 and Team/group direct message conversations...not just archive / delete specific posts. Thank you.

Add an option to delete entire direct message threads or select messages that are sent AND received.

Need the bulk delete option - deleting one-by-one is extremely inefficient. This is for both the desktop and mobile app software.

When an admin invites a lot of external guests to communicate with the company, an account can end up with a lot of conversations. Currently, to remove from you, a user has to close one by one.

Took over number from prev. user. Wanted to delete old posts as they were no longer relevant. Since the posts were from last year and beyond wanted to delete in a group (like an All option). Was told could not be done this way and would have to delete each post one by one. This is time consuming.

The only way to delete a chat is one-by-one. The entire string of the conversation can not be deleted. Also, I cannot delete the senders chat note, only the ones I sent. I tried exporting the conversation to a folder and then deleted the folder, but it only deletes the folder not the underlying conversation. This seems like a major flaw in the program.

There needs to be a way to delete message in bulk like you can from the desktop app. When you login to app.ringcentral.com/phone/sms all the old texts still appear even when the desktop app shows that they have all been cleared out. Like the little pencil you have on the app, to delete all, you really need to add this to the web login version. It is TEDIOUS when you schedule hundreds of appts like we do and have to delete them one by one. Please fix this/make this an option. We've been loyal customers for YEARS and this would be more helpful than you know.
