TEXT MESSAGE SMS NUMBER WE SENT FROM
It's important to see the number where the customer sent the text from. To know which assigned number it came from and to track the customer's information. Please put back the feature on the RC Desktop App and Mobile App. Screenshot was taken 03/26/2024 at that time we can see from what number we were texting from.
Hi everyone, we hear you, we know this was impacted in the latest update. This is being researched now to confirm when a fix can be implemented.

How about the telephone number next to the contact name once the contact was added?

My customer is also requesting same feature where the customer sent the text from, they really need to see the number of the customer. asking for update when this feature will implemented.

I have also submitted a similar request. It is unfortunate that RingCentral presents itself as offering uniform caller IDs, but this consistency does not extend to text messages. This discrepancy is problematic, especially since RingCentral markets and promises these services, accepts payment for them, and yet fails to deliver as promised. Ensuring uniform caller ID across all communication channels, including text messages, is crucial for maintaining a professional and cohesive company image.

What we're actually saying is that since the upgrade to the RC app on 03/26/2024, we can no longer tell from which number we are communicating. We have several numbers in Ring Central because we do business in multiple cities. When a client sends in a text and we reply, we can no longer see what number we are texting from, so we don't know if we're replying to the customer the east coast or the west coast or somewhere in between.

As a company, we do business from multiple markets and have technicians who need to be assigned properly. Without knowing from which number we are communicating, we are handicapped in processing customer requests quickly and efficiently. This wastes our time and leads to errors in scheduling, which costs our company money.
