  2. While setting up, and troubleshooting user and phone issues, we're finding that the status icons are a tad misleading. While a User status may show green, you have to go into their account, click down to Phones, over to Phones, etc. to then see if the associated phone is active.There is more than enough 'real estate' on the Users with Extensions screen to add an additional status icon - one that shows the state of the phone extension.The hover over text could then read, 'User Enabled' - 'Phone Enabled' - 'ATA Enabled' etc. depending on the unit assigned.This would allow…

Allow ring groups/users forwarding phones for a period of time to go to another user's desktop/mobile apps.This limitation doesn't make sense.If one user is going on vacation and needs to forward their phones, they can only forward to another user that has a desk phone (which means no one working from home).

In the new RingCentral desktop app, when RC identifies a number as a phone number (mostly incorrectly), it's very difficult to actually click-and-drag style highlight that number to copy and paste (I think because of the call, text pop-up that happens). It's impossible to select only a part of the number for the same reason. Double clicking works to select the whole thing, but this deviation from standard UI practices (and from the Classic version app behavior) is jarring.

  5. If an external call dials a direct line on your numbers list, it shouldn't have the ability to transfer to any extension on your extensions list. I had an external number dial a direct line that goes straight to voicemail, but they were able to hit certain keys on their numpad that redirected them to a call queue that has no relation to the direct line they dialed. That should not be possible in my opinion.

I updated my RingCentral app on my Mac a while back (now version 21.2.10.452 Web, 21.2.10.949 Mac) and since then, an important feature no longer works: links with a non-.com URL that are posted in rooms are no longer clickable, meaning I need to copy and then paste them into browsers manually (for us that includes an internal URL ending in .pvt even though it's https).Can we get that link function restored?

  8. A setting that would allow us to customize the default greeting for our user's conference line. Currently, when a client calls into a meeting, it says "welcome to the ringcentral conference line." We would like it to say "Welcome to the {Company Name} conference line." It adds a level of professionalism to the process for us. We were able to do it with Dialpad/UberConference but we just recently switched to RingCentral and were disappointed to find that we could not customize this greeting.

  10. Add the ability to configure specific numbers that would override the Do Not Disturb setting. Use case is for someone who is on call after hours for emergencies, who may want to set RingCentral to Do Not Disturb for general calls and messages but still needs to receive calls that are coming from the emergency dispatch number. Similar to what iPhone currently has where you can set the ability for a number to still come through as a call when your phone is in Do Not Disturb mode.

  12. Customer uses RC App on Android (Zebra) device. When a call comes in, it usurps the entire phone screen and function as opposed to how it behaves in RC App on IOS which leverages the IOS Call kit and call rings in via a banner at top of screen and the app the end user is currently working in is still available to them. The banner has call controls to answer or ignore....when answered the banner persists and gives speaker option and mute so the end user can continue to work in current app while talking on the call...Would like…

  13. Skype had a sweet feature where calls would appear in a pop-up window on the lower-left of the screen. This would be a nice feature to have, as many times the Ring Central app is minimized in the background and hard to find/answer calls on short notice. The pop-up allows for substantially faster response times to calls, whether its an accept or decline, so that the call can be picked up or rotated to another user in the queue more rapidly.

  14. The new app is great and continues to be improved. I would like to see an option for users to at least change their password from within the app. If possible, it would be nice for them to change their PIN and possibly see/change their secret question there as well. However, I would be fine with just change password. Another possible option or addition would be a way to expire users accounts and have the app/portal request they change their password the next time they login. This would help for rollouts and use of generic/temporary passwords.

  15. if i own 10 companies i dont want to remember every phone number to dial out before i call. if i can click on app. click on phone symbol.pull the phone numbers down from the from: tab and see all my company names with ph#'s THAT WOULD BE GREAT!!

Adding the ability to play a sound or display an indicator without flashing message content into view, or the ability to snooze notifications so that rather than flashing up for every message, only one is seen per given time interval, or a single persistent notification to indicate unread messages. Could be controlled on a per-user basis.Currently you can only enable or disable notifications entirely on the desktop app per user.

  17. Currently, on Glip (RC Unified app), under Direct Messages, whoever sends you the most recently message will be the one to appear first on the list.Along with that, there is also be a way for users and admins to filter out the list of users alphabetically.

  18. My suggestion is to allow the RC phone app to accept transfers alongside its desktop app counterpart. This would be very useful for customers who do not have headsets and rely on their cellphones for using their RC account

  20. At the moment, BT's BT Cloud Work Phone, developed by Ring Central, doesn't have a built in sound equaliser unlike many soft phones. Speaking to BT they say that the software doesn't have the ability 'yet' but couldn't tell me if this meant it was on it's way. They were a little vague.
