  1. I am a full-access manager for 3 call queues that are set up with their own direct lines. I do not know how to respond to these text messages. I read online at this article (https://community.ringcentral.com/questions/89895/call-queue-texting.html) that you can log into a call queue, but this seems cumbersome. I wish to have the ability to text from the direct line of the call queues that I am a full access manager for. Thank you.

  2. I am the primary administrator for our company phone system that includes approximately 2,500 employees, each with a unique phone number.Managing Caller IDs is laborious because each employee has 9 or more values that have to be updated (Phone, RingOut from Web, RingMe, Call Flip, Fax Number, Mobile App, Additional Desktop App, Common Phone, and Alternate Call ID). I understand that different companies and types of companies have legitimate needs to have unique values for each type, BUT, it would be really nice if you could add some kind of "Update All" or "Apply to All" button that would push…

  3. Don't like how the phone window pops up in different places, making me search for it to answer. Phone needs to be stationary on one screen when using multiple monitors.

  4. When placing a new conference call from the computer it always uses the computer's microphone and speaker. It should utilize whatever calling method is chosen for the extension's settings (RingOut, RingOut to a specific device, etc.)... or it ought to at least give the option to choose the calling device on the "Conference Call" start screen. Not all of our employees have microphones/speakers on their computers, so starting the conference call using the computer as the endpoint is useless for them.

  5. Any customers reaching out to a particular user will have the option to leave a VM or press 0 during greeting to be rerouted to either another extension or another call queue.

  7. It would be great to be able to turn off texting with an auto-response similar to when you text a landline, such that you need not have any text communications with clients.

  8. It would be nice to have a setting to allow all calls to go to voicemail when in meetings, whether they are virtual RC meetings or in person meetings so anything in say a synced Outlook calendar would be able to set phones to DND.

  9. Currently if a customer calls a direct line it will only display their phone number and not their name with it. I feel like its a step back to not be able to display the callers name. I know not all phone providers show someone's name when they call but with our old system when I would call my direct line it would show my full name, now with this new system only my cellphone number is displayed.

  10. My users would absolutely love to have the ability to fast forward and rewind through long voicemail messages. They are able to do this from the visual UI when logged in to the service web or apps, however most of our users work from desk phones, and there is no such option when listening to the message by phone.

  11. When one employee transfers a call to another, we cant see the called ID info. The callers info should appear on the transfer also.

  12. Once transferred, next call recipient should be able to decide whether to answer call at that moment based on who is ACTUALLY calling. Based on my experiment (with RC Help Desk person), next call recipient sees only co-worker's name that transferred the call, not the original caller's name/info. It's very misleading. Only workaround identified is for me to wait for transfer call to be answered, announce the caller, find out if call will be accepted at this time, then hung up to allow caller through or revert back to original caller to take a message. A rather old-fashioned concept. If…

  14. Some of our company applications that we use utilize shortcut keys such at F6 or F8. We would like to be able to change this at a company level so each user isn't having to manually do this as part of ringcentral onboarding.

  15. We use Teams to show different departments, and their availability to take calls. We would love "Teams" to have an option to default view to "show members" rather than share a file, create a task, or add an app. This would help reception and call transfer-ability.

  16. To better explain this: When the receptionist transfers a call to me, the caller ID shows "Reception" NOT the actual caller's caller ID. This can be very confusing. When I pick up the phone call that shows "Reception", it is not the receptionist. The person on the phone, is the person who was transferred to me. This causes a lot of surprise as to who I am speaking to. As you can imagine, when picking up a phone call, it would be very helpful to know who you are speaking with.

  17. In our agency, some extensions are really tied to the program role, not the user. For example, our front desk staff. If a person who was in the role of our front desk support moved to a new job in the agency, they would not be keeping their extension number or direct dial number. It would best stay as a Front Desk line, as that has become known in the community as a front end contact point. Likewise, our Resource Room extension is always what it is no matter who that person would be. We needed to swap these 2…

  18. I'd like to be able to have my calls screened- but I obviously don't need my calls from coworkers screened. I'm trying to filter out solicitors. Please allow us to screen all calls, except those from people in our internal company. Thanks.

  19. When we send an SMS to a group via Google Voice, or just via a mobile number, RingCentral receives texts not in group chats, but in direct messages from the sender. So when someone sends a text to a group - then Ringcentral will receive SMS in a group chat.

  20. Be able to leave a pre-recorded voicemail as soon as you hear a "beep" and move on to your next call. In other words, make outbound call and instead of waiting for someone to pick; drop an automated or prerecorded message for the second party to call you back, while you move on to your next dial up call.
