Allow option to record inbound calls but not internal calls (extension to extension)
Currently the only options on RingCentral appear to be either automatic recording inbound calls and/or outbound calls OR on demand recording of inbound and/or outbound calls. The problem with this, is that it appears that RIngCentral treats even internal calls (extension to extension) as an inbound or outbound call and records these conversations. Our organization has never recorded internal calls from our employees as it feels a bit like "big brother" and we frankly do not need this option. There should be an option to allow us the option to choose to not record these internal calls unless we so choose to.

This option to just record internal calls will vastly be helpful, especially in those areas where call recording cannot be implemented for external customers due to some state policies. Recommended to have a switch to enable and disable internal and external calls to be recorded.

Internal calls don't need to be recorded like external calls. Need a feature to disable call recording internally. Wasted storage.

What is Allow mute in auto call recording? The Allow mute in auto call recording , when enabled, gives a user the ability to pause the Automatic Call Recording and then resume it so that sensitive information is not captured. NOTE: The Allow mute in auto call recording feature only works for external calls with Automatic Call Recording in progress. We'd like to be able to mute parts of calls during internal-internal calls. Can this be added?

Currently, when automatic call recording is enabled, all internal calls between staff are recorded. This includes casual conversations about mundane topics, as well as potentially sensitive discussions. While external calls allow users to press *9 to mute the recording during sensitive conversations, this feature is not available for internal calls.We understand the importance of maintaining confidentiality and privacy within our organization, and believe that the ability to mute internal call recordings is essential in achieving this. We strongly urge the implementation of this feature, as it will allow our staff to discuss sensitive or confidential information with the peace of mind that their discussions will remain private.

Our Call Center has Inbound and Outbound call recording enabled for all of the members of the Call Center. Unfortunately, this includes calls between colleagues internally. This is unnecessary and I am sure uses unnecessary space on Avaya's servers.

Currently when you are setting up automatic call recording, there is only one option to record outbound calls ("Record Outbound Calls") and this means that all outbound calls from that extension, including internal calls to other extensions, will be recorded.There are many businesses which need outbound calls to EXTERNAL phone numebrs to be recorded, but they want internal calls to never be recorded. So please add a check box/dropdown option to select if ALL outbound calls including internal calls will be recorded, and another option for All outbound calls to external phone numbers only (calls within extensions/phone numbers on this RingCentral account won't be recorded)This option is available in most other phone systems including RingCentral's direct competitors. Please add this basic option for call recording.
