Essential for retrieving records that need to be subpoened for trial. I would be very shocked if there was a suit brought against RC, and RC could not provide SMS and / or call logs that speak to their defense. This feature should be available for all customers.

I needed the information from a customer who is trying to sue us for work that was done on his chimney. All of my information to the customer was through text. The attorney needed the photos of the project and all correspondences with this particular customer. If I'd have know these messages were deleted after less than 2 years I never would have agreed to sign on with RingCentral.
Every other phone carrier has this information. It is stored on my phone. This is unbelievable. -

Customer would like the SMS history to retain on the RingCentral for Salesforce dialer (CTI) forever . As of now after a couple of days the SMS history is automatically being deleted

I hate how I lose text messages if they are a month old. Text messages should be retained for AT LEAST one year. Or we should have the ability to choose how long they are retained.

In a lawsuit and we have a need for being able to download (at least) text messages for data retention. This is a critical need. Also - right now this is by phone number - which is a huge time waste to go client by client. Also, is there a way to go back 3-6 months instead of 5000 messages?

this is very important for taking care of customers and remembering what we texted about it the past beyond the days and the text threshold that doesn't get displayed. Please allow this history to all be displayed.

Retain all text, we have a compliance burden and having a limitation for anyone of our staff members is an extreme hindrance.

This is a serious concern, that Ring Central has failed to communicate with us on your system limitations. It is critically important that we are able to obtain our patients text history. There needs to be a better solution to resolve this issue, rather than submitting a vote. You will lose clients for sure!
