Ability to disable pop up on the incoming call using RingCentral app
Ability to disable pop up on the incoming call using RingCentral app

Lately, RingCentral has felt like a series of disappointments. RingCentral’s update has made things worse, not better. Having two apps for HubSpot and Chrome extensions creates duplicate call notifications, disrupting workflows. Removing pop-up customization forces our high-volume teams to close the app just to stay productive. What was once a flexible solution now feels like a restrictive cloud PBX. If this doesn’t improve, we’ll seriously consider alternatives like Zoom Phone.

RingCentral for Hubspot and RingCentral Chrome extensions should work together, not as separate extensions. This creates duplicate notifications for the same calls. Terrible user experience.

We're a clinic and need to run the app in the background. Pop-ups are very disruptive for the nurses, especially when they go in the rooms to chart the details and keep getting notifications (i.e. pop-ups) about new calls. It's difficult to focus and logging in-out is an extra step that'll mess up our workflows.

This MUST be brought back.

I second this request. Why was this option removed? We're a school district. When a teacher's (or any type of presenter's) screen is displayed in front of a classroom/conference room, the standalone window popup is extremely disruptive. Please bring back the ability to hide it.

It is insane that this was removed from the previous version! The pop-up should stay in the app window if we can't disable it totally. Our teams are receiving 500+ calls daily and the pop-up has forces them to close out the app totally. So we've actually gone backwards with this. We are basically using RingCentral as a cloud hosted PBX now with desk phones. Customization of notifications in the app was what set Ring apart from other vendors. We might as well migrate back to our on-prem Mitel PBX at this point

There used to be an option to turn this off and the current documentation references it - with a screenshot. Why someone thought the current code release was good enough for production is beyond me. I'm forced to used the dialer built into the main window....whatever...fine... Then, the ball gets passed off to the other window that can easily get hidden (unless pinned) behind the main window. Why do we need two windows!? RC has everything else stuck in one window but this needs to be in a pop-up - spawned from the dialer in the main window!? The old UI was actually slick! There was a pop-up for the dialer but it was the only dialer and you could minimize it to the main page's top bar - which was also slick! And, you could never lose it because it couldn't go beyond the edges of the main app's screen. The current UI & functionality seems like a regression to me.
