Call Park Notification Control in the RingCentral Desktop App
We need the ability to control the notification sound you get in the RingCentral app when a call gets parked. Currently, we have no control over it as it is tied to the "Direct messages" notification setting. If you change the Direct message notification sound, the parked call sound also switches over to that sound. It is very annoying as it makes you think you are getting a direct message every time a call gets parked. Ultimately, I would like to be able to disable the parked call notification all together. So if we had the choice to both change the sound or disable it, that would be a perfect solution.

It is very distracting when we get constant notifications for parked calls when we are busy on the teller line. It would be nice if this problem could be fixed.

The constant notifications of when a call is parked is very distracting. I feel the notification should only go off for the person that the call is for.

I would like to see an option to either silence the notification or the ability to change the sound.

The notification for Parked calls is very disruptive. When I see that a call is parked, I tend to stop what I am doing and wait for a message to come to myself or one of the ring groups I am affiliated with. It would be nice if we didn't get a notification unless the call was for us.

The notification sounding the same is very distracting. Similar to others, our process is for the receptionist to notify the person intended to pick up the call so there is no reason for the notification of a "parked call" to be displayed to everyone.

It would be wonderful to get this corrected. It can definitely be confusing while you are busy on the teller line with all the notification popping when they are not yours. So after a while you tend to ignore any message from Ring Central because they are usually just parked calls. Calls are definitely being missed.

This enhancement is critical for our environment. Our front desk receptionist handles a high volume of incoming calls and frequently parks them for other staff members. Each time a call is parked, the RingCentral desktop app plays a notification sound that’s currently tied to the “Direct messages” setting. This overlap is causing significant notification fatigue among our team.
The constant chime is disruptive and misleading—it makes staff think they’re receiving direct messages, when it’s actually just another parked call. This is especially problematic in a small office where everyone relies on clear, distinct notifications to stay on top of tasks.
While the mobile app gives us the option to silence park notifications, the desktop app does not. Without the ability to mute or change this specific sound, we risk staff beginning to ignore RingCentral notifications altogether, which could lead to missed messages or calls that truly need attention.
We strongly support the ability to control (or completely disable) parked call notification sounds in the desktop app. This would help reduce distraction and keep our team responsive to the alerts that matter most.

Our global organization just moved to RingCentral. Functionality has been great so far, but I'm very surprised there isn't a way to silence only parked call notifications. Please add this feature, it's basic but more necessary than you'd think.

This is super frustrating. Why are we all notified when someone puts a call on park?

Users won't use the desktop app because of this annoying notification ALL the time. Need a way to manage the notification (not just the sound).

I also have the same issue. Please make this a high priority.

I have the same issue as Douglas. I suggest an option to suppress these park notifications as well. We recently started using Teams for our video meetings due to issues in sharing screens on ring central. This is another reason to start looking for other options.

This has become a very big problem today. Everyone who is assigned the park locations (which is everyone) now receives these notifications with no way to turn them off. This is a pretty huge oversite. Please implement a fix asap, our users are extremely frustrated. Temporarily we've created a new role to remove the HUD feature from users, but this is in no way a great fix.

We need the ability to disable specifically park notifications. It appears that the only way to disable it is to disable notifications entirely, which defeats the purpose of the App. Park notifications are extremely distracting and don't serve any purpose for a good portion to see. Combined with notification and the ding, every 10 minutes or so it can be very annoying for individuals who never Park customers.

In our office, we Park calls frequently, and the high number of notifications is distracting and unhelpful for those of us not in the sales office. Currently, the only solution is to disable notifications entirely, which severely undercuts the usability of the desktop application.

When a call is parked in a Park Location everyone that is assigned the Park Location gets a notification from the RingCentral desktop app that a call is parked with all the Caller ID. For privacy, please add the ability to disable this from an administrative level. Currently the only way prevent that popup for every user is to go into the RC desktop application Settings > Notifications > and turn off Incoming Calls. This doesn't prevent users from turning it back on though. While the other option is to limit the users who have access to the Park Locations, this doesn't help because all users need access to pickup on those lines.
This is especially troublesome when everyone can see the caller and a user might pickup a caller that is not calling in for them, but they want to speak with the caller anyway.
To be more specific the request would be to block individual users as some users will need the information.

I love how they scrubbed all of the comments about how this is critical and it hasn't been implemented years later, especially with how simple of a request this is. On top of that they waste their time with dinosaur emojis while people are literally saying they are going to drop service with RC because of something so simple. Pathetic.
