  4. As a RingCentral customer I would like to see the development team look to offer infrastructure as code support for RingCentral, such as Terraform or Ansible. Allowing customers to automate the provision and ongoing management of resoruces in RingCentral accounts.As a customer with over 230 sites each with multiple users, IVRs, Queues and devices, being able to manage this as code provides both consistency and an ability to scale.Although the APIs are useful, our engineers prefer to work with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) as it is a lot easier.   7. The inability to attribute a phone call via Salesforce is a bit alarming as this is a huge miss on RingCentral's part. One of the primary reasons to have multiple phone numbers beyond the obvious of going to different people is to attribute where a user found you and called in from. The current Salesforce integration (July 2022) doesn't surface the number that was dialed and therefore lacks the capability to setup dashboards capable of attributing calls from various locations and ability to view the data alongside other Salesforce data.   13. Reincubate Camo is a 3rd party camera app that allows you to use your phone's camera as the web cam. RingCentral Meetings allowed the integration, but the new RingCentral App does not. Your phone's camera is a much better camera than most built in webcams.   14. Would like the ability to provision users without digital license. Many users don't need a digital license until later on after onboarding, and the assignment of phone number/desk phone is a manual process so the user receives a phone number specific to their office location. Currently new users will provision until all unassigned digital licenses are used up, then fail with "License limit has been reached". Only work around is to manually create the user extension with their email so that SCIM will auto update their user attributes.

  15. We have been paying another company ZipWhip to handle texts for us because RingCentral doesn't do Auto Replies (vacation, message received will reply soon etc). We also use scheduled reminder texts and Ring doesn't do that either. Lastly, templates. I don't see a place to save templates to reply with. It sure would be nice if we didn't have to pay two companies instead of one to handle texting and voice calls since we only get a couple of calls a day, but probably 30 text messages.     Since this idea was posted, I believe we have implemented much of what is being asked for:

    • Workflow Builder can help with SMS auto-replies
    • Workflow Builder will soon support scheduled workflows
    • SMS templates have been shipped and are now available
  16. Slack is one of the most used messaging apps and many people like to use it for real-time conversation. RC should offer Slack workspaces as add-ins to enhance team messaging your current configuration (link below) does not allow for this. Ideally, I should be able to go to the app tab in RC and open Slack. You have integrations with Google in your ‘Works with Google’ section you should have ‘Works with Slack’ as installed app. There’s incredible need to to contain where conversations are happening and centralizing the activity it’s a huge miss not to offer this.https://www.ringcentral.com/apps/slack

  18. Customers would like to be able to forward calls to a soft-phone or WebRTC device. Technically one can already forward calls to a device ID corresponding to desk (physical) phone because their device IDs are static. WebRTC device IDs are dynamic and volatile. Our system could route calls to them, but there is no way to obtain a list of Device IDs associated with a user.   20. When using the Salesforce integration, RingCentral's session timeout setting is 7 days. Having checked with RingCentral support, this cannot be adjusted. If a user uses the RingCentral for Salesforce integration and does not logout, the Salesforce session will be kept active for 7 days. The scope of this idea is to permit RingCentral admins the capability to enforce session timeouts at the same intervals as the Salesforce Platform.
