  1. Allow text messages sent to the same company number that the call queue is answering to be answered by any user in that call queue. Allow them to send messages from the company number and have a unified spot so that multiple users can respond. As our CSRs go off and on shift they should be able to pick up a text thread with a customer.

    SMS for Call Queues is coming-- as in if a text is sent to a call queue number, there will be an inbox available for one agent to respond to those SMS.


    I know the core of this request is to have a shared SMS inbox where multiple people can send and receive SMS from the inbox. Our product teams are aware of this ask, but I do not have more information about if/when this segment of the ask is coming.

  2. This idea is a combination of other ideas around improving RingCentral's RingEX Audit Trail feature.

    Improve logging for all items that are added, moved, changed or amended within the Admin Portal.

  3. We are applying for TCR SMS for our company. I was just told that ONLY 1 extension can send out SMS from the main company number. This is not very useful since we need multiple users to be able to send out SMS from the main company number!

  4. Having a copy of the document that was faxed attached to the Fax Message Transmission Result email will be very helpful. In our case, as a law firm, we need to add a copy of that email to the case as proof that the fax was sent successfully. Having the document attached to the confirmation email will make it easier for the Legal Assistants, Paralegals, and Attorneys to identify which case that fax belongs to.

  7. Tough to get users to take the time to upload and change their profile pictures. It would be great for admins to be able to use existing employee pictures (I.E. from Id badges/access cards) and update them globally. Even BETTER it would be great to be able to have Azure/Office365 pictures transfer over if an existing SSO conduit exists.

  8. I've noticed that when not using RC but logged in (running in the background idle) it will change the status for users from a green dot to a gray dot (offline). Even though users are available for a call. Fellow coworkers think the user is offline when in reality they are not. This behavior is counterintuitive- It seems to me that a new idle status would work as opposed to showing user offline. Or maintain current status of available

  9. I use RC as my primary phone service. In many cases organizations send SMS messages from "short code" numbers. I can receive them on RC. But I can not respond. This is an important feature!

  13. We currently cannot quickly text a customer while we are on the phone with that customer while using the desktop program on computer (not the extension). We have to take multiple steps such as: Go to text and create a new text, search their contact, etc. A simple and easy solution to this would be one of 2 options below:Show the Ongoing Call in the calls area, while we are on the call (currently the call only shows after we end the call).   14. We have noticed that Non-Super Admin users can elevate themselves to "Super Admin." This could potentially cause security issues and business impact.Non-Super Admins should not be able to change their role to a “Super Admin” or remove the SA role from other accounts.Scenario: We have our Non-Super admins that have “User Management” under their role, they need this to be able to choose a different role for MACD (move,add,change,delete) requests but we don’t want them to have the ability to change their own permission to “super admin.” Only another “super admin” should have the ability to change someone else to…

  15. I have a client that needs to use this feature for tornado warnings, tornado drills, fire drills, mass alerts to the company. They have 75 devices on hand in various rooms throughout the facility and need to be able to page all of them to alert individuals in the building of an emergency.

  17. Ability to dial out while there is an incoming call, after the latest update the ability to dial out while there is an incoming call is no longer available. You need to ignore the call first to be able to dial out which is inconvenient for customers that has a call queue and receiving a lot of calls.

  18. Why is a holiday/night "button" not available in the RingCentral universe? This has been a feature of traditional PBXs for DECADES. There needs to be a way that Holiday/Office Closed greeting and menus are simply activated, and a selection of several menus should be available. Not all businesses have regular hours, and circumstances sometimes dictate that the office is closed. Snowstorm? Fire across the street? My client's 20+ year old Toshiba PBX had a simple way to do this. Last person out would activate it OR it could be activated remotely through the voice menus.

  19. I am on the phone with Ring Central customer service right now and he is guiding me through posting this.Ring Central is false advertising that it has Group Text Messaging. The customer service rep confirmed with senior tech support that it's not true. A Ring Central user can start a group text message; however, responses from non-Ring Central phone numbers don't come back into the group, they come back individually. Which defeats the purpose.   20. I would like for separate caller ID for everyone in the company to make it a personal touch for our clients. We also have different companies and would like to have different caller id to show for that other company also.
