Due to RingCentral's stance of "We support the Mitel phones" and the sales pitches of their system being the successor to Mitel MiVoice premise systems, this is disappointing. When you enable Deskphone Pairing on computers that do not have speakers, only to find this base feature ignores that, it's frustrating. This is a basic feature in all premise based systems, which I believe is your target audience.

This is a feature from ShoreTel/Mitel Connect that I have gotten constant reports of wanting in RingCentral.
If you're focused on gaining former ShoreTel/Mitel UC customers, you need to start acting like them.

Adding this feature would be helpful in migrating EOL UC system to UCaaS. It would make the transition easier.

This seems like such a basic feature that I am shocked that RC doesn't currently offer this as an option.

Customer has hot desk phones that our users log into.
Individual users have a desktop work station with no speakers.
If they they to listen to VM's from their App it does not ring the phone and they are not able to listen to the VM's. They have to dial into their Voice Mail from the phone to listen.
Since the app is using desk phone pairing and the user is logged into the phone why does the App not call the phone when trying to listen to VM's?This would be helpful in allowing users that do not want to access local deskphone's interface and access voicemail controls strictly from the application itself. -

It would be nice if clicking a VM in the desktop app to play it, that the desk phone would ring and then play the VM through it.

How can we press play on the computer and listen to the message from the phone unit/headset itself? We don't want to play the voicemail to the phone computer speakers for other people to hear.
