  2. We switched a couple of our office locations to BYOC licensing and lost the ability to SMS Text. The SMS Text option should be added to the standard BYOC product license. It is a vey handy feature and our staff love it for communicating with our customers. It allow them to give one number to customers for all communications.

  4. When an SMS message fails to send there is a small red redo/resend arrow next to it. It however does nothing but in the "desktop phone" app this resend button works to resend the message.

  6. In the current state Call Delegates are not able to access/respond to SMS messages. The solution from technical support was that the user should share their RC login with their delegate. This is an obviously unacceptable solution and also not possible in our case where SSO is implemented. It is incoherent to encourage sign-on security and immediately undercut that so that a delegate can support another user account.

  7. RingCentral Phone can automatically reduce file size of a picture and send SMS/MMS.RingCentral Desktop app does not have this funtion. Please add this feature, it is very convenient. We are forced to switch to RingCentral Desktop application due to RC Phone Window App unreliability.

I think it would be helpful to have the SMS on the desktop app act like the mobile app where the texts from yourself are on the right side and texts from the other person on the left. also having different colors to differentiate your texts or the other person's texts. This makes it easier to read and find messages from yourself or the other person.

  9. Hello! I text/sms people on a daily basis for my job. Sorting through the long list or searching in the search tab can be quite tedious.The feature is already in the "Message" tab. In the Message tab you're able to create a new folder (see Ring1 image or click me), name it whatever you want, move it up and down the list as you please, color code it to your liking and add things in it.   11. Currently, if you attempt to send a text message to someone in your contact list, the app defaults to the contact's Home number (if there is one). Why would it ever default to anything other than the Mobile number? Can you send SMS to a land line? a fax line?

  12. when customer's main number is set to forward calls to call queue, missed calls should still trigger an auto reply sms from the main number. currently, this only works if auto receptionist is set to forward calls to user extensions

  14. Please consider adding automatic replies for texts, much like we have for voicemails and emails. When I go on vacation, I can set automatic replies so that if someone emails or calls me, they are reminded that I am on vacation. I would like the same functionality for texts. Being able to set up an automatic reply for my text messages that reminds my clients that I am on vacation after they text me would be very beneficial.

  16. Currently, High Volume SMS does not have any contact from RingCentral. Please improve the integration from High Volume SMS with RingCentral Apps and allow Ringcentral Phone App to have the same access of send Text Message with the same number that being used on High Volume SMS. It is very inconvenient to have using 2 different platform in order to manage the voice calls and messages.

  17. Its a real shame that a phone platform like this does not allow the capability to put a hyperlink for a website in a text. I have to type out or send the exact URL. Makes no sense. Text is my main source of communication and I send links all day to sign up for events, etc and I have to email them instead.

  19. Sometimes , messages are received and read , but not responded to immediately. If it is followed up by many other received messages, then that message may be forgotten and buried in the list of SMS threads. There is currently no way to generate a report for text messages that have been received but have not been responded to. The idea is to generate a report (manually or automatically displayed in the admin portal), where the timeframe (ie. last 7 days, 14 days, or 1 month) can be specified and all text messages not responded will be listed. The instant message event currently delivers a payload for new inbound messages that include the message details, meaning an additional api call to retrieve the message details is not necessary, unlike the message event. It would be useful to be able to receive outbound messages as well as an instant message event, especially for integrations in which users will also be utilizing the native ring central sms functionality within the portal.
