  1. Allow text messages sent to the same company number that the call queue is answering to be answered by any user in that call queue. Allow them to send messages from the company number and have a unified spot so that multiple users can respond. As our CSRs go off and on shift they should be able to pick up a text thread with a customer.

    Updated 9/8/23: This has been moved to Q1 2024Hi everyone, this is planned as a two parter: coming in December 2022, users will be able to select which number their outbound texts are sent through in settings. Coming later in 2023, users will be able to select their outbound number in the separate messaging window (not just in settings). This only addresses outbound caller ID. If you would like to see a more shared inbox group texting option, please vote for these ideas: Add a text message queue similar to the call queueTexts should go to multiple users
  3. I would like to have an auto reply text message sent out for a call that is missed to the customer who placed the call.

  4. I use RC as my primary phone service. In many cases organizations send SMS messages from "short code" numbers. I can receive them on RC. But I can not respond. This is an important feature!

  5. Date and time stamp should be included in all text messages being sent within the RingCentral desktop app. At times, this is used in conjunction with our Accounting team to receive confirmation from users to approve certain matters. Having the text message only read 'today' does not help to validate when the communication actually took place (date and time). The only time date and time is included together is when it's a past date.

  6. when a client texted in on the main number , allow multiple users to see and respond to there message. grasshopper has this because there is only 1 number to work through

  7. Most carriers I have worked with have the ability to send text messages to a phone number by sending an email. According to RC support this feature is not currently available. Would be a nice addition, especially for developers.Examples:##########@messaging.sprintpcs.com##########@vtext.com##########@txt.att.net

  8. We currently cannot quickly text a customer while we are on the phone with that customer while using the desktop program on computer (not the extension). We have to take multiple steps such as: Go to text and create a new text, search their contact, etc. A simple and easy solution to this would be one of 2 options below:Show the Ongoing Call in the calls area, while we are on the call (currently the call only shows after we end the call).   12. I work for a large real estate team and we recently moved all our numbers over to Ring Central from Mitel. One thing we were not aware of is that we cannot have more than 10 people in a group SMS, which is pretty frustrating. We need to be in communication with anywhere from 11-23 people at any given moment. Not being able to do this causes issues with our business and is forcing us to seek other alternative options. Apple lets you have up to 32 people in a group message. Can this be escalated quickly?

  17. It's important to see the number where the customer sent the text from. To know which assigned number it came from and to track the customer's information. Please put back the feature on the RC Desktop App and Mobile App. Screenshot was taken 03/26/2024 at that time we can see from what number we were texting from.
