  1. Customer uses RC App on Android (Zebra) device. When a call comes in, it usurps the entire phone screen and function as opposed to how it behaves in RC App on IOS which leverages the IOS Call kit and call rings in via a banner at top of screen and the app the end user is currently working in is still available to them. The banner has call controls to answer or ignore....when answered the banner persists and gives speaker option and mute so the end user can continue to work in current app while talking on the call...Would like…

  2. When you call to leave a voicemail for another user, and listen to the message on your Polycom desk phone, it announces who the voicemail is from using a computer generated computer. I've been told there is no way to currently change this. We've done a custom recording for the "Record User Name" function in the users profile, but this doesn't affect the name announced when leaving a voicemail.

  4. When you share screens in a video call, there is only a single pencil feature for making hand drawings on the screen. This is very valuable but I really would like more options (colors, thickness, maybe some basic shapes), and also make it so the drawing you make doesn't automatically fade in ~5 seconds. These would all make visual brainstorming much easier!

  5. Our former (PBX) system let someone hear a page then pick up a phone and (after punching a button) be connected to the person making the page. So after a Page occurs, let the recipient hit a button (the "Page" button on a phone?) and be connected to the Pager.

  6. The new app is great and continues to be improved. I would like to see an option for users to at least change their password from within the app. If possible, it would be nice for them to change their PIN and possibly see/change their secret question there as well. However, I would be fine with just change password. Another possible option or addition would be a way to expire users accounts and have the app/portal request they change their password the next time they login. This would help for rollouts and use of generic/temporary passwords.

Have an optional "button" either in the Soft Phone or online to give me the option to "sync contacts" between all or various extensions to allow all office service staff to contact whatever whoever is in need of service at whatever time they have a need that needs to be addressed without having to give access to other's extensions, or having to constantly export & import contact lists manually to give everyone access all the time.Another feature that may be included in this is an option to allow a "Text" message to just come from the main number, so clients…

In the RingCentral App, it would be really beneficial to have the ability to turn off calendar notifications so that entries which exist in the original calendar (Outlook, Gmail) don't send a duplicate notification in Ring Central. At this point, the only way to prevent this is to unlink the calendar (removing the ability to create meeting invites from Ring Central) or mute all notifications (making the soft phone functionality unusuable)

  10. if i own 10 companies i dont want to remember every phone number to dial out before i call. if i can click on app. click on phone symbol.pull the phone numbers down from the from: tab and see all my company names with ph#'s THAT WOULD BE GREAT!!

  12. We have two call queues that our internal help desk can be a part of. There is a feature to allow the queue members to select which queue they want to take calls for. This currently only applies to the mobile app, however my team uses the desktop app exclusively.

Adding the ability to play a sound or display an indicator without flashing message content into view, or the ability to snooze notifications so that rather than flashing up for every message, only one is seen per given time interval, or a single persistent notification to indicate unread messages. Could be controlled on a per-user basis.Currently you can only enable or disable notifications entirely on the desktop app per user.

  15. Currently I go to Phone System, Auto-Receptionist, General Settings, IVR settings then custom answering rules. I add a custom answering rule for each day of the month to let the system know which EMS doctor is on call from 8 AM - 10 PM that day. Then the team wants it on the Google Calendar, so I go into google calendar and add who is on call for each day of the month. LOTS of room for error and VERY time consuming. Please consider.

  16. My VVX-450 phones only show the username on the screen. I think it would be a nice feature if the deskphone displayed its ext number on the screen. On a similar note, it would be nice if it displayed the DID of the phone as well. Of course, the best way would be to allow the Admin to configure whether it showed this information, or just the Username.

  19. When clicking on the voicemails for other users from within the Admin panel, it pops-up and asks for that users passcode. (see image)It would be nice to have two things occur at that point:Focus on the box brings the cursor to the password field. Right now, you have to click into the field to enter data.The <Enter> key should be valid input for the form submit. Now, you have to mouse over and click 'Confirm'Nothing too earth shattering, but with a few hundred users, it adds up on clicks.Thanks!

  20. My suggestion is to allow the RC phone app to accept transfers alongside its desktop app counterpart. This would be very useful for customers who do not have headsets and rely on their cellphones for using their RC account
