Mute incoming call notifications while currently on a call
Currently, while on a call other incoming calls will ring, can be heard by all parties, and must be rejected. An option to turn on DND whenever a call is taking place would eliminate this distraction.

Coming from the ShoreTel (Mitel MiVoice Connect) world I am finding several basic features lacking with RingCentral. The simple ability to send calls directly to voicemail or skip the device in use on a video call for starters. Let alone the option to control how many concurrent inbound calls I want to allow.Missing the option to control new inbound calls while in a meeting. (RC Please Add)Missing the option to define a users’ “Call Stack”. EX: Call Stack sent to 2, the 3rd call work route to voicemail, another device or predefined destination.Missing the option to load custom sounds for all notifications, SMS, DM, Ringtones, etc Missing Advanced Routing based the calling party. VIP Users always ring device even in DND for exampleThese are just a few basic features that appear missing with RingCentral’s MVP client I hope to see added in the near future. Most of them are 10+ years old, nothing cutting edge.

It doesn't needs to turn on DND or go straight to voicemail just show a notification and mute the ringer till the current call or meeting or video call has completed. This way if the current call ends the phone can keep ringing or if the person calling is a VIP or important call the user can end their current call and take the incoming one.

This NEEDS to happen ASAP as its RUINS probably 5 calls A DAY for me and the biggest P.I.T.A

this is the MOST common complaint I hear from my RC users. Invariably, when they get on a video call, someone else tries to call them and they have to juggle everything to, first - send that incoming call to voicemail, then second - change their status to DND. Makes no sense when you are on an active call. It would be ok if you received a visual notification on the computer that an incoming call was trying to reach you - as long as it wasn't a barrage of multiple rings. In my case, I have RC on my mobile device, my laptop (primary phone), and a desktop phone. When you're on a video call and all three of those start ringing - it is chaos.

the app rings VERY LOUD while i'm on another call and if i have someone on the phone and i'd like my assistant to possibly grab the call, i have to sit there an let it ring or push it to voice mail. I'd like the option to mute that call ringer, or to simply have a more subtle beep or tone (like other phones have = call waiting beep). This is much less intrusive to my current call.

modify notification sound for incoming call when user is on another call

Its not practical to change to DND. This should be acousmatic if on a call or in a meeting that calls go directly to VM.

When taking back to back calls on weekends, we need the ability to turn off the beep for incoming calls. We are unable to hear the client on their end when the beep happens and have to ask them to repeat themselves. If multiple back to back calls come in, it happens too much and clients get upset that we cannot hear them. There needs to be another method of notifying us that there is another call incoming, like vibrating the cell phone or making the flashlight flash.

This needs to be expanded to meetings (not just video). Either an active phone call or a meeting on a synced calendar should silence or send incoming calls to VM. I can't tell you how many meetings I've been in where people's phones start ringing because they didn't manually set their DND. People in my org get very irratated by this. Tie this to calendar status/phone call status, I'm baffeled why this isn't already a thing.

he option to turn on DND would be good but not practical for an on the road sales team using hands free. The ultimate solution is for the incoming call whilst on anther call goes to voicemail - the same way a mobile phone works.

It is incredibly disruptive and distracting to have new incoming calls ringing on the desktop application while I am on an active call. We should have the option in settings to silence incoming calls when there is an active call. Just route them to voicemail.

We are new to RingCentral and find it incredibly frustrating that we cannot silence incoming calls when we are on an active call. Please add a setting that allows incoming calls to route to voicemail without ringing when there is an active call. I'm shocked I have to be asking about this.

This would be useful to stop being disturbed when on a call.

Disable the new call beeping notification sound for mobile and desktop app users.

If in RingCentral App Call now, and someone call me on Microsoft Team now.. the Microsoft call overwrites the RingCentral call.. is there a way where we can mute external calls.

When on an active call, if a new call comes in, the app rings with the full ring until you chose an action on the incoming call. This is very distracting and jarring. A way to have those just be maybe a single tone or silenced instead of that full ringing would be exceptional.

I need incoming calls to stop interrupting my current call. I would like to be able to see that someone is calling, but for the active call to take priority

On the mobile app it would sure be nice to have the option to have the option to be able to either silence or send incoming personal calls to voicemail. I know other calling apps I have used have this ability, but RC does not seem to have it. It is SUPER annoying to be on a business call and have your cell phone (that you're using for the business call) start ringing and it completely interrupts the conversation with even the party on the other end of the RC call not being able to hear anything but the ringing phone. Also, on the flipside, if you could have an option where if I am on a personal call and someone calls in on the RC app to also either have that ringer silenced or be routed to voicemail, that would be equally important. This is a big issue with the mobile app... hopefully you can get it fixed. Thank you.

My receptionist doesn't want to be interrupted while she's on another call. She is often doing intake for our family law firm and does not want to hear the second call come in before it is routed to our third party answering service.
