  1. need an option that regular user ext will be able to select numbers in the auto receptionist to use as their outbound number for sms. as of the moment we are limited to assign the number to the user ext for them to be able to use it. this gives restrictions especially if we need other user ext to use the same number

  2. You can already get email notifications for incoming texts, and this is great because it lets you archive that communication the same way you would an email. But unlike standard emails, you only get one side of the conversation, because outgoing text messages cannot be saved like an email. Having the option to receive copies of outgoing texts would let the records be more comprehensive, and would let other employees have a record of the conversation.

  3. My SMS messages are automatically being deleted after a couple of months, which apparently is how long it takes me to accumulate 5,000 total SMS messages. I have an additional Ringcentral number that gets little use but would not be recognized by my customers. Ringcentral does not allow me to combine the capacity of both lines to use on one extension.

  5. In the admin call log add inbound and outbound SMS messages. It would be nice to see who is texting and what is being said while looking at all of the calls/faxes made.

  6. Background: Customer asking to add the ability on O@H to use the main company number as the outbound SMS number for all users on the mobile app.

    Problem: Unable to use the main account number as the outbound SMS id if NOT logged in as operator extension.

    Steps to Reproduce:
    1. Login to O@H mobile application using direct extension (not operator)
    2. Compose new SMS

    Actual Behavior: If they are not logged in as operator extension, they can't use the main number as the outbound SMS id.

  7. any inbound call no matter if answered, gone to voicemail or text, the inbound call should get a automatic text message from your RC number thanking then or whatever message you wish to be sent out to the the inbound caller.

  9. I use RC as my primary phone service. In many cases organizations send SMS messages from "short code" numbers. I can receive them on RC. But I can not respond. This is an important feature!

  11. Some users never setup e-mail or look at txt messages the admins should have the option to be able to clean up these messages. would be also nice to have a sort options to list whom has the most saved or not viewed messages to see what clean up might be needed

  13. Allow text messages sent to the same company number that the call queue is answering to be answered by any user in that call queue. Allow them to send messages from the company number and have a unified spot so that multiple users can respond. As our CSRs go off and on shift they should be able to pick up a text thread with a customer.

  15. We need the Company Fax/SMS Recipient to include multiple people. The issue is when moving a call queue number to an IVR menu, the recipient of fax and text goes from the call queue member list down to a single user extension only in the site IVR settings. It is a limiting factor.

  17. We are a healthcare company and provide some mental health services to our community through telehealth using RingCentral. We need to have the ability for our clients to reach their doctors and therapists via phone calls, but do not want the clients to have the ability to text our doctors and therapists. Having the ability to block text messages while still allowing phone calls from the same number would be a valuable feature to us and I would imagine other organizations as well.

  18. Currently, there is no auto-reply to the sender if the RingCentral number they are sending a text to is disabled for SMS.I am requesting to have a system-generated reply to a sender if the RC number they are sending a text to is disabled for SMS.

  19. We receive texts to our main phone line, however only 1 person is able to view, read, respond to those messages. We need the ability to view, receive, send texts from this main line regardless of the user. This is vital for our Customer Service/Customer Experience Teams to ensure that all customers are taken care of if someone is on vacation, sick, or other reasons for unavailability.
