  1. Ringcentral would provide a dedicated email address tied to the account. When emails are sent to this address, they are converted to sms messages sent to the number associated with the account. This is useful for IOT devices where foreign equipment can send email alerts only. These email alerts would then be received by RingCentral and converted into SMS messages.

  2. More and more we are doing business online. My company needs a chat bot. One for my website (which I can outsource and add) and I need a SMS chat bot that I can market the phone number for texting and using a chat bot for my company

  3. GIFs tend to be a major form of communication these days. GIFs are possible in team messaging, but not in SMS texting as far as i can see.

  5. Most carriers I have worked with have the ability to send text messages to a phone number by sending an email. According to RC support this feature is not currently available.   6. Being able to export entire text threads could allow us to file information to keep for future use. It would be easier to communicate with clients if we can more easily refer to past conversations.

It would be best if the RingCentral application, allows copy and paste of phone numbers from .csv file or excel file on the "To: Field", especially if there are multiple numbers they need to Enter.This will lessen the time and provide ease to users instead of copying and pasting the numbers 1 by 1, which is time consuming.

  12. Currently, the SMS API only allows sending from extensions that are directly assigned to the logged in account. It would be EXTEREMLY useful to be able to either a) allow the main number account to send from any valid extension or b) create a way that extensions permissions could be assigned to multiple accounts.Use case: all our sales team use their ringcentral direct number as their primary method of phone/SMS interaction with all customers.   14. In the RingCentral Salesforce integration, we can only send SMS messages to contacts. If you add more than one destination phone number, the system sends the message as individual SMS'. Instead, we would like a group message to be created. This is possible in the RC mobile and desktop apps.

With COVID and curbside checkins, it would be great if when customers arrive, they could send a text to our main number letting us know they are here and we could have that forward to multiple ringcentral extensions/numbers and receive the text on multiple computers via the RingCentral Phone app.

  16. Customer would like to block the ability to send SMS messages to more than one recipient. They would like the ability to block both "Group" texts but also sending a single message to more than one separate recipient.

  17. Robert Half wants to enable SMS for all users and have any customer able to opt out to SMS which should then be honored for every RC extension. If one of their clients requests to stop SMS, than nobody at Robert Half should be able to SMS that number.

    Updated 9/8/23: This has been moved to Q1 2024Hi everyone, this is planned as a two parter: coming in December 2022, users will be able to select which number their outbound texts are sent through in settings. Coming later in 2023, users will be able to select their outbound number in the separate messaging window (not just in settings). This only addresses outbound caller ID. If you would like to see a more shared inbox group texting option, please vote for these ideas: Add a text message queue similar to the call queueTexts should go to multiple users

  20. Hi right now the phone calls are set to go to my assistant Melissa 5 days a week. But on her days off, they go to my other assistant Tania. This is set up through a custom routing schedule. WE NEED THE SAME CAPABILITY FOR TEXT MESSAGES TO BE AUTOMATICALLY DIRECTED TO THE PERSON ASSIGNED TO ANSWERING THE PHONE. I am a realtor and most of our business is done through text. Thanks
