Disable the display of External Shared Contacts directory contacts to a group of users.
Is there any way to disable the display of External Shared Contacts directory contacts to a group of users ?
I currently use the external shared contacts of Google (it a check box to enble) but the sync has troubles (+20k contacts). I would like to use the External Shared Contacts directory from ringCentral Directory integration but not all of our users need it.5 votes -
Multisite - support for 'site' contacts Directory limited, not entire company
This is a common ask in the retail market like we faced during the DECATHLON project.
This will allow for the end user to access a directory based on the following:
-/ Global Directory (e.g. all stores) tier
-/ Regional Directory (e.g. stores in 1 city) tier
-/ Local Directory (e.g. specific store site) tierEvery store is usually autonomous and needs access to his own directory and is not shared among other stores.
In case we can’t support site directory - as a minimum the ask is to support search based on multiple criteria:

Allow External directory contacts to be saved as quick contacts.
Some of our users only use a portion of the external shared contacts directory that we have applied for all the users (different departments use different contacts.) They would like to be able to add from the external shared contacts directory to their personal quick contacts .

Notes character limits in the contacts field
The amount of characters in the contacts notes field shortened substantially and deleted large portions of client contextual notes history, we really need as many contact notes field characters as possible, how do we enable a higher amount of these simple text notes characters for this critical field? Please let us know.

Edit Share Contacts
Customer currently do not have a way to be able to edit shared external contacts.
Current method to edit via csv file and re-upload the template is such a hassle and inconvenient for user adding or editing shared external contacts,Customers would like to have a feature where
1.) Shared External Contacts can be edit using Ringcentral App or SW
2.) Upload Shared External contacts without using .csv File
3.If 2 is not possible at least add shared external contacts without downloading the whole data of the template.4 votes -

Automatic Caller ID Name Saving Problem:
Currently, when receiving calls on a RingCentral number, the caller's name (if available) is displayed but not automatically saved to the user's contact list. This requires manual input and can be time-consuming, especially for frequent callers.
Customization: Allow users to control whether the caller ID name is automatically saved to the Personal contact list or a specific custom contact list.
Duplicate Prevention: Implement measures to prevent duplicate entries in the contact list if the caller ID name already exists.
Privacy Settings: Provide users with the option to opt-out of this feature if they prefer to manually manage their contact list.…

Quick Editing Contacts From Texting Inbox
Sometimes we need to Edit or View a contact when we are texting them or receiving a text from, You can't do this quickly in the Desktop app. You have go to Contacts, Look for the Contact then Utilize the Pencil etc.
Same process for viewing the Contact information while texting them. You can't see their information quickly.
I think the Contact Management of the Desktop App needs a lot of improvements.

we need the ringcentral saved contacts to reflect when the call is being forwarded to an external number, so we will know who is the person calling.

Allow duplicate contacts during upload
Please allow the upload of CSV template to go through even with duplicate contacts, and then simply show error notification after the upload to automatically delete the duplicates instead of rejecting during upload.
