  1. Currently, when receiving calls on a RingCentral number, the caller's name (if available) is displayed but not automatically saved to the user's contact list. This requires manual input and can be time-consuming, especially for frequent callers.

    Customization: Allow users to control whether the caller ID name is automatically saved to the Personal contact list or a specific custom contact list.
    Duplicate Prevention: Implement measures to prevent duplicate entries in the contact list if the caller ID name already exists.
    Privacy Settings: Provide users with the option to opt-out of this feature if they prefer to manually manage their contact list.

  2. I see where we can create a "team" in the contacts section, which allows you to invite members from work. What about the ability to create groups for just your regular contacts? I'm a recruiter and it'd be handy to have my candidates listed under groups such as "On assignment" or even by skills like "machine operators" or "warehouse workers".

  3. This is a common ask in the retail market like we faced during the DECATHLON project.
    This will allow for the end user to access a directory based on the following:
    -/ Global Directory (e.g. all stores) tier
    -/ Regional Directory (e.g. stores in 1 city) tier
    -/ Local Directory (e.g. specific store site) tier

    Every store is usually autonomous and needs access to his own directory and is not shared among other stores.
    In case we can’t support site directory - as a minimum the ask is to support search based on multiple criteria:

  4. Customer currently do not have a way to be able to edit shared external contacts.
    Current method to edit via csv file and re-upload the template is such a hassle and inconvenient for user adding or editing shared external contacts,

    Customers would like to have a feature where

    1.) Shared External Contacts can be edit using Ringcentral App or SW
    2.) Upload Shared External contacts without using .csv File
    3.If 2 is not possible at least add shared external contacts without downloading the whole data of the template.

  5. Let us add or remove the "middle name" info to the name column in the call log. When using the desktop app the middle name info is shown in the call log. When using the web admin portal and associated extension, the call log only shows the first and last names. I understand not everyone will want to have the middle name listed in the call log, so if we could more easily add or remove the contact info we want listed in the call log that would be great.

  8. Some of our users only use a portion of the external shared contacts directory that we have applied for all the users (different departments use different contacts.) They would like to be able to add from the external shared contacts directory to their personal quick contacts .

The amount of characters in the contacts notes field shortened substantially and deleted large portions of client contextual notes history, we really need as many contact notes field characters as possible, how do we enable a higher amount of these simple text notes characters for this critical field?   12. Sometimes we need to do an Edit on a contact after an incoming call, but we can't just click on the call log and do a quick edit, we have to go to the contacts list, search for the contact and then edit.

    Adding an Edit option on the call log when the contact is already added to the list of contacts will minimize data entry.

  15. When the customer is in the "Contacts" Menu and selects ALL, it shows every single account in their AD environment. The customer wants an option in the app to only show the users as part of the Company Contacts.
