Shared SMS were multiple users can receive and send SMS on specific number
Allow text messages sent to the same company number that the call queue is answering to be answered by any user in that call queue. Allow them to send messages from the company number and have a unified spot so that multiple users can respond. As our CSRs go off and on shift they should be able to pick up a text thread with a customer.

When someone telephones our office, Ringcentral does an excellent job of managing the call queue so anyone in the system can answer. In the year 2025, it wouldnt seem like such a big request to have the same functionality with an in bound SMS message. Thanks.

I asked about this feature when we were first signing up, and it is central to our use. We switched from a cheaper system where this was possible, and now we've lost this key functionality.

I just subscribe to Ring Central and for me this is a total surprise and a complete deal breaker for using it. All other competitor that handle SMS is Offering a centralized inbox. You guys need to do your homework it is not acceptable that a user can't have access to text message from our company number.
Unless somebody is contacting me this week and telling me there is a garanty that this feature will be implemeted before a gibing date, I'm calling off the deal and returning all the phones and will have to find another service provider.
Can't believe that this is not possible to do that in your software in 2025, it kind of show that you are not true to your word also, as this is supposedly planned to be executed Q1 and you guys leave everyone in this thread not updated and we are now Q2 of 2025.

I assumed the ability for our team to all send text messages from the same main number was a standard feature since much less expensive phone systems have this ability. With no timeline to make this happen at ring central I’ll need to start looking for a different phone system.

Please consider enabling SMS access from all extensions using the main number — it’s a critical need for businesses like ours.

I need to be able to text from the main line so that when a response comes in and I do not see it, another team member can view and let me know or even respond. The customer needs to know they have a number to call or text and not be confused to whom they are speaking to. We are one team and they are speaking to Kicker Insures Me.

This was the main reason we chose RingCentral. I assumed it would work. Now I'm not so sure and may have to choose something else. Luckily we hadn't switched all our numbers. We decided to test it with our travel department. Unless this is added soon, we will be going somewhere else.

This was a promised feature during the pre sign-up demonstration. After over six months of back and forth before getting SMS approved, it turns out that the feature is not really usable as others have described. Please get this corrected ASAP!
