  1. Add a feature where you can text all the contacts in a group contact list, not as a group message, but individually. Also being able to add more then 10 to a bulk message (not as a group message) would be needed for this as well.

  6. For bulk forward text messaging, it would be incredibly useful to separate each text and send individually. If a user could also automatically include the name of each telephone number if they’ve programmed the corresponding name to that phone number, then users could personalize each individual text - which would help mass texts feel more personal and helpful for people in sales positions who are trying to disseminate advertisements.

We would like for RingCentral to disable the ability for users to be able to post GIFs in text messages on the RC mobile app. It doesn't appear that the GIF function is built into the app (rather, it's a keyboard shortcut option on one's smart phone) but this opens up the possibility for users to send inappropriate images (internally or externally).

Date and time stamp should be included in all text messages being sent within the RingCentral desktop app. At times, this is used in conjunction with our Accounting team to receive confirmation from users to approve certain matters. Having the text message only read 'today' does not help to validate when the communication actually took place (date and time). The only time date and time is included together is when it's a past date.

  10. We encounter a problem where our main extension isn't following the correct call forwarding that was set up on the user extension. Tech rep fixed the issue by recreating the extension itself. The issue is when the newly created extension doesn't have the SMS content that we originally had on the corrupted extension and I found out that there's no way to transfer the SMS from one corrupted extension to the new recreated one other than manually forwarding it.   13. On the RC app, We should be able to see a contact's activity within the same inbox instead of having a Text inbox and a separate log for incoming calls.

    Not sure if this will benefit all users but we should have the option if we want to combine the activity in one single inbox where we could see the text messages and any incoming or missed call for the contact.

  14. there should be a send sms option in active dialpad so that the operator can send sms to the customer while on call with them instead of copying the number and sending a new sms from text tab.

    Use case: share quotes sms while on call with the customer so that they can take informed decision.

  18. Offer option to silence all notifications outside of work hours (phone, SMS/text, etc). This would be both in the desktop and mobile apps.

    Currently we only have phone settings that allow us to forward calls to voicemail. A similar function for SMS/Text messages or just the ability to silence notifications would be great.

  20. I just deleted a user who was terminated from our organization today. However, we need to be able to check their text and message history as it has come to light that he may have been sending confidential information through there. I know there is no way for me to recover the information, but is there a way that you can pull messaging history from your database or to recover the user?
