  1. The Admin Portal needs to have a feature where users with an extension can send a text message to the number, which will provide information depending on the users' questions, such as schedules.

    It will also be beneficial to customers to save time.

  2. Currently there is not a way to grant access to managers/supervisors to the SMS messages their team members send and receive. There is the ability to grant this type of access to user's call logs using User Groups. Would be great if SMS messages could be part of what is imparted with User Group permissions.

  3. I have advised my clients that when they want to cancel their appointment for my business to send a text message containing the word "CANCEL" to my company number. Instead of me receiving just the SMS those customers ending up on the OPTED-OUT numbers, now I have no way of sending SMS to them. Please remove this keyword "Cancel" from automatically going to opted out number, my keyword for opting out of SMS is "STOP"

  5. The SMS feature for a call queue is currently limited to one extension only. We would like to request an increase in the number of recipients that can be assigned as "SMS Recipients" for a call queue

  6. On the RingCentral desktop app, you used to be able to see the full SMS history when you went to create a new SMS text. Now when you create a new SMS text message, you don't see the history. It was super helpful to have the history there any time you created a new SMS message. The new functionality is not great for awareness of the most recent text message.

  7. For messages and texting when you highlight the message you want read it just says the person's name! Really annoying. Need text-to-speech option and then speech-to-text that's easier. This also needs to be compatible with Echo, CarPlay, etc. Need more features for the busy professional on the go please!

    In the current implementation of the AI Receptionist (AIR), the SMS messaging feature is restricted to using only the super admin extension as the sending number. This limits flexibility and usability for organizations that require communication to be routed through other user extensions or departments.

    Current Behavior:

    When accessing the “Send Text Message” feature within the AI Receptionist, only the super admin extension is available as the sending number.

    There is no option to select or assign another user extension or number.

    Requested Enhancement:

    Provide the ability to select from a list of eligible user extensions or direct numbers…

  12. Filter receive SMS/ MMS to automatically block unwanted messages.

    Specific user is receiving unwanted text messages we highly suggest for the system to filter the SMS received for unwanted SMS and automatically block them in RingCentral phone numbers.

  14. Description:
    Currently, the “Text Send Failure” notification continues to appear in the SMS thread preview, even if the failed message occurred long ago. This can cause confusion for users, as it gives the impression that the most recent message did not go through successfully.

    Suggested Improvement:
    The “Text Send Failure” indicator should automatically disappear from the SMS thread preview once the user reopens the conversation.

    Current Limitation:
    At present, the only way to remove the notification is to edit and resend the failed message or delete all failed SMS messages, which can be time-consuming — especially when the failed messages…

  17. When we copy/paste a screenshot or image into an SMS Text thread it just shows "image.png" and we have no way to confirm if it is the correct image sent to the correct customer/person. We deal with sensitive financial information and this risk bears great consequence for us. Please make a way to see the image that is being pasted into the SMS thread!!

  18. BeeTexting is for the company phone numbers text messages. RingCentral App SMS icon should be used for the direct phone numbers SMS. Just like what the customer has in the RingCentral desktop/web app.

  19. Ability to Download SMS Logs with Custom Columns on the reports. Currently not able to download SMS logs with the Status column. It only downloads with fixed and specified columns which is not complete as listed on the admin portal.

  20. Prior to the newest update, when sending a new text, you would type in the number and click 'next' which would bring you to the entire text thread giving you the option to either call or text. This would also allow you to view the entire text thread. With this new update, doing the same function - sending a new text- it now has a pop up to create the text within this pop up window and 'send', NOT giving you the option to click 'next' and take you to the text thread. This is a major inconvenience to day…
