  1. It would be helpful if we can use the main number to receive and respond to SMS on our call queue. Since we have 4 users setup currently to receive these kind of SMS.

  2. Use Case:
    Currently, when multiple internal users reply to a group SMS with an external contact, not all internal replies are visible to the group. This makes it difficult to track communications and follow up effectively. Having a centralized view of all internal responses would improve collaboration, reduce missed messages, and streamline communication with external contacts.

    Benefit:

    Improved visibility of internal communications

    Reduced chances of duplicated responses

    Enhanced team collaboration and accountability

  4. Right now, when you reached SMS received per user, per inbox of 5000, SMS will be deleted and replaced by new ones. It's best to have an option to increase storage allocation.

  5. Upgrade Text Messaging Features to the RCS protocol in RingCentral.

    "The latest major standard for text messaging is Rich Communication Services (RCS), which provides modern features like high-resolution media sharing and improved group chats, as an upgrade to SMS/MMS."

    This request has been made before and has been "Under Review" since April 2022. It does not take over 3 years to upgrade an app to the latest feature especially when it is widespread.   7. Ability to setup an automated text without anything triggers it. setup an automated text that will send out links of a recording and can be able to setup a schedule for outbound text, not the auto response to missed calls, or out of office SMS, but scheduled automated outbound text

  8. Have a way to remove or disable the "Add Opt-out message" check box from the bottom of a text exchange. It does not need to apply to all text exchanges and we don't want to inadvertently check it.

  9. Currently, in the RingCentral Desktop App (Shared/Text tab), the "Paperclip/Attachment" icon is visible when first viewing a thread. However, after the first response is sent or the conversation is assigned to a user, the attachment icon immediately disappears.

    Ensure the "Attachment/Paperclip" icon remains persistent and functional throughout the entire lifecycle of a Shared SMS conversation, regardless of assignment status or reply count.

  10. The Admin Portal needs to have a feature where users with an extension can send a text message to the number, which will provide information depending on the users' questions, such as schedules.

    It will also be beneficial to customers to save time.

    In the current implementation of the AI Receptionist (AIR), the SMS messaging feature is restricted to using only the super admin extension as the sending number. This limits flexibility and usability for organizations that require communication to be routed through other user extensions or departments.

    Current Behavior:

    When accessing the “Send Text Message” feature within the AI Receptionist, only the super admin extension is available as the sending number.

    There is no option to select or assign another user extension or number.

    Requested Enhancement:

    Provide the ability to select from a list of eligible user extensions or direct numbers…

  14. As a Shared Inbox user (especially one who can assign conversations), I need to see all active conversations by default, and then optionally filter down.

    Current behavior: by default, the inbox excludes conversations assigned to other users.

    Required behavior: default view should be ALL conversations when “ALL” is selected.

    Workaround issue: turning the filter off does not persist between app relaunches, which creates a risk that messages will be missed.

  15. Instead of large group texts where everyone can respond to each other we have an option of creating a large group that send individual texts to a mass group by a click of a button instead of entering every individual persons contact every time

  16. Currently there is not a way to grant access to managers/supervisors to the SMS messages their team members send and receive. There is the ability to grant this type of access to user's call logs using User Groups. Would be great if SMS messages could be part of what is imparted with User Group permissions.

    Most importantly, it:

    Encourages timely replies: Knowing the sender can see when they've read a message may prompt faster responses.
