Able to send/receive faxes as RTF or TXT
We need to be able to send/receive faxes as RTF or TXT. We noticed everything going out or incoming is formatted as PDF. We use the Smarsh API (provided by RC) for tracking certain faxes. Smarsh's system is unable to transition/OCR the PDFs that come/go through RingCentral fax.

Compliance Risk: Users Bypassing API via RingCentral FAX UI
As a healthcare organization using RC Fax via API integration as part of a controlled and compliant workflow, our users are still able to send faxes directly from the desktop application, which bypasses our approved API process and creates compliance and audit risk. We are requesting the capability to disable or restrict faxing from the RingCentral client (desktop/app UI), on the account level, while fully preserving fax functionality through our established API integration, so that all outbound fax traffic is enforced through our governed system. Receive Fax in Multiple RC App Users

Continuous Dialing for Failed Faxes until successfully sent
When sending critical, time-sensitive business documents, having faxes quietly drop into a "Failed" status after just 3 quick attempts disrupts workflows. Employees have to constantly monitor the queue and manually click "Retry" repeatedly when the recipient's line is heavily congested.
Allowing the system to automatically handle high-volume retries or continuously dial until completion would drastically improve employee productivity, reduce manual monitoring, and ensure critical documents reach their destination without human intervention.

Ability to send a fax with an alert that the incoming fax is confidential to the recipient

Add option to automatically mark faxes as "Read" upon successful automatic printing
We use the "Automatically print incoming faxes" feature in our pharmacy so that paper copies act as our physical workflow queue. However, because the RingCentral app leaves all automatically printed faxes as "Unread," our digital application is constantly cluttered with massive unread message badges.
Please add a checkbox under Settings > Fax that allows users to toggle: "Automatically mark incoming faxes as read once sent to the printer." and unsuccessful printed file should be marked *** unread. This will prevent staff from getting confused which file will iss missing.

Selective Fax Email Notifications
Provide the ability to configure fax email notifications on a per-number basis. This would allow users to continue receiving email notifications for incoming faxes from selected fax numbers while disabling notifications for others, offering greater flexibility and reducing unnecessary email alerts.

Limiting API fax users ability to fax from their client
Company uses API integration for faxing. However users are still able to fax from RC desktop app and bypass. Without disabling the fax features for their users, they want to just disable access to faxing from the client

Dynamic Field Mapping for Custom Fax Cover Pages

We would like to request the ability to upload custom fax cover page templates and map their fields to the existing cover page fields available in the RingCentral Fax interface.Current Limitation:
Currently, administrators and users can upload a custom fax cover page, but the document must already be prefilled with static information. There is no option to map placeholders within the custom template to the fields that users complete when sending a fax (such as Sender Name, Recipient Name, Company, Subject, Comments, Date, Fax Number, etc.).2 votes -

Allow RingCentral App for Print-to-Fax Settings without ATA Device
We would like to request the ability to enable the Print to Fax feature within the RingCentral app without requiring an ATA device to be set up. Our goal is to allow RingCentral applications to send fax documents directly to designated printers so that they are printed immediately, bypassing the need for any ATA hardware.
