Hotdesk in Germany
At the moment Hotdesk Devices in Germany with a German number are only supported, when you use the setup of limited extension devices as per this support article (https://support.ringcentral.com/article-v2/8863.html?brand=RC_US&product=RingEX&language=en_US)
This has the disadvantage that you can always place a call from this device which is not expected or whished by the client to happen. Also it requires an additional limited extension license.Instead, the behaviour should be like when setting up UK devices, meaning:
- Hotdesk works as you would expect
- no calls possible when logged out

Prevent Browser Throttling (Tab Sleeping) via Native Keep-Alives & In-App Alerts
Aggressive browser RAM features (Chrome/Edge Memory Saver) put background RingCentral tabs to sleep. This kills the real-time connection (SignalR/Port 31322), causing dropped calls, false "Refused" agent statuses, and multi-call routing glitches. Fixing this currently requires complex, manual IT Group Policies (GPOs).
The Solution:
Native Keep-Alives: Embed HTML5 Wake Locks or background workers into the RingCentral platform so browsers recognize it as a critical real-time app and never put it to sleep.In-App Diagnostics: If browser throttling or port blocking is detected, display an immediate warning banner to the agent (e.g., “Your browser is throttling this app. Click here to whitelist.”).

Download Transcription while RCV not recorded meeting is ongoing in All New RCV meeting
Steps to replicate:
Video setting : All New RCV meeting turned on in the RingCentral Desktop/Web App.
Ongoing RingCentral Video not recorded.
Should have option to Turn on Transcription while meeting is ongoing.
While in the meeting, Host should have option to download transcription real time.
This is working in RingCentral Mac desktop app if in Video setting, "All New RCV meeting" is off.1 vote -
Re-add the option to use 'X' when dialing another extension
When dialing another extension, the customer could use 'X' between the main number and the extension number in the RingCentral Phone app. With the RingCentral app, the option is no longer available. It is how they operated before, and they would like to have this option again.

Ability to dial out while there is an incoming call, after the latest update the ability to dial out while there is an incoming call is no longer available. You need to ignore the call first to be able to dial out which is inconvenient for customers that has a call queue and receiving a lot of calls.

It would be helpful if there were an option to disable the email notifications to users if someone created a workflow builder for them.
Lastly, allow administrators to:
Prevent users from administering Workflow Builder.
Restrict users from creating new workflows.

Add Password for Immediate Meetings as Host
Enable the ability to apply security settings—specifically a meeting password —to instantly started (ad-hoc) RingCentral Video meetings.
Currently, these security options are only available for scheduled meetings or Personal Meetings, and are not accessible when starting an immediate “Start Video” session.
This enhancement would allow hosts to:
-Set a password for instant video meetings at the time of creation
-Apply security controls without requiring a scheduled meeting or Personal Meeting setup

Enable RingCentral Call Audio Sharing During Screen Sharing in Meetings (Desktop App)
When sharing a screen from the RingCentral desktop application during Microsoft Teams or RingCentral Video meetings, participants are unable to hear live RingCentral call audio. While sharing system audio works for general device sounds, it does not capture audio from active RingCentral calls.
Currently, a workaround exists by using the web versions of RingCentral App (via Chrome or Microsoft Edge), which allows call audio to be heard by participants when screen sharing.

Prevent transcription of Credit Card numbers within RingCentral App. We have a KIOSK at our campground facility and on occasion the will have to accept a credit card number over the phone. Ideally we would like the call transcribed but no Credit Card numbers.

RC Phone App should not be discontinued
On 4/25/26, It said RC Phone app would be discontinued on 6/5/26. I literally have a screenshot... It's very frustrating that it was discontinued early.

RingCentral app for Windows to start in "Compact Mode"
Now that RingCentral is retiring the "RingCentral Phone" Windows desktop app on May 19th, 2026, users are now forced to use the "standard" RingCentral desktop app for calls/texts/faxes on a PC. In the "standard desktop app" RingCentral implemented a UI feature called "Compact" mode, that somewhat mirrors how the old "RingCentral Phone" app looked.
