  1. Currently, while on a call other incoming calls will ring, can be heard by all parties, and must be rejected. An option to turn on DND whenever a call is taking place would eliminate this distraction.

  2. Currently if a group is set to ring all members at once and someone else answers it will show as a missed call for everyone else who didn't answer. It would be nice if the system knew the call had been answered and didn't show as a missed call.

  3. We run multiple business endeavors between my wife and I and we would find it helpful if we could log into multiple "phones" at the same time, similar to how multiple e-mail addresses can be accessed from a single email client. This would allow us to be able to "switch phones" right in the app, so that when I'm done with a call for my business, I can return a call from my wife's business without having to log out and log back in again.

  4. Managing the holiday hours for our locations requires us to manually enter in a custom answering rule for each company holiday for each location. For us that is over 600 manual entries and counting that need to be made each year. This could easily be eliminated by having a master holiday setting that could be applied to lines, queues, or ring groups in the account. Another way to accomplish this would be to have holiday call handling templates built-in. They could contain the most common holidays for each country with the ability to remove the ones that don't apply. The…

  5. Remove the missed call notification for queue members when another queue member answers the call. Only display missed call notification when no one in the queue answers the call.

  6. Would love a user option that allows the on off of dynamically enabling Do No Disturb mode anytime user is in a RC meeting. No one really wants to hear phone calls come in when hosting or talking in a meeting. It is too difficult to toggle on off this mode manually every time a user enters and then is done with a meeting. But all my users agree they would like a feature that auto puts them in DND when they are in a meeting for them.

This is now available for RCV in app! To turn on: navigate to Settings - Video - Allow incoming calls while in a meeting. There is a an on/off option available for enablement. If you would like automatic DND for all calendar events, not just RC Video meetings please vote here: https://ideas.ringcentral.com/ideas/CUSTCOM-I-2239
  7. It would be extremely useful to be able to disable an associate from removing themselves from taking queue calls. As you can imagine, if an employee chooses they no longer want to take calls but their supervisor did not approve it. They could stop taking calls without the supervisor ever knowing (Not good for anyone). This also requires additional reporting. We also have an extra step of pulling a report to see which associates took themselves off of queue calls every day (Not efficient). I believe it would be helpful to be able to exclude that feature through roles whether…

  8. This is useful because sometimes you need to reference a dinosaur in a chat. This would benefit me specifically as I recently needed to reference a dinosaur and couldn't. It should work by clicking the emoji button and scrolling down to animals and at least 4 dinosaur options should be available (minimum of T-Rex, Brachiosaurus, Stegosaurus, Triceratops)(Pteranodon if a 5th is an option). Also a T-Rex with grabber arms would be nice (it's funny because T-Rex's have short arms.)

  9. Today you are required to use the RC app to put all of your devices into DND. Users should be able to press the DND button on the physical endpoint and that status should sync over to the other physical devices or softphones that are assigned to that user. This would make it much easier from an end-user perspective, especially those that don't want to bring up the app to enable DND.

Hi all, there's a DND Sync on hardphone toggle that may need to be enabled for your account if presence sync is not working as expected. Please contact support for assistance in getting this enabled on your account!

  10. Must have second app, softphone HUD, for monitoring/barge to calls. More memory usage

  11. When there are a large number of members in a team it would be nice to be able to create a thread from a single message. This pulls that particular conversation out of the main flow of messages so the conversation doesn't get lost and can be continued by only the applicable parties.

  12. We need an ability to turn off the announcement on the "AI notes" as its taking a few seconds before I can answer the call

Hi everyone, you are now able to customize the announcement played during the call. Learn where in the Admin portal to update here.

While not the ability to completely turn off the announcement, this customization allows for different companies to take into account their unique compliance needs. If a disclosure is not needed, a silent recording could be uploaded as a workaround.

    Thank you!

  13. It's great that the HUD was added to the RingCentral desktop app however, the only thing for us that it seems to be lacking is the ability to adjust the layout of the pop out window for the HUD. We still use the RingCentral Phone app because the pop out HUD view allows me to customize my HUD window more than the HUD in the RC app. In the RC app I can't get everyone to appear on the same size window like I had with the RC Phone app. Please see attached screenshots

  14. Currently, if you are on a Call Queue call you can receive a personal (direct) call at the same time and can switch to that call, reject it, etc. We have some smaller call queues where it would be beneficial for one person to be able to pick up multiple calls at a time. E.g. They're on a call queue call, see that another is ringing, and they put the original call on hold and tell the second caller that they'll be with them shortly (etc).Clearly, this would not be suitable in every instance but having the option would be…

  15. Date and time stamp should be included in all text messages being sent within the RingCentral desktop app. At times, this is used in conjunction with our Accounting team to receive confirmation from users to approve certain matters. Having the text message only read 'today' does not help to validate when the communication actually took place (date and time). The only time date and time is included together is when it's a past date.

  16. Currently, the app rings at the same time as the desk phone. You set the desk phone to sequentially ring after the app but not before. I prefer the desk phone to ring first for a couple of rings, then the app on my cell phone would be called.

  17. Just had a use case, where an employee was trying to find someone in a dept to call, but there isn't an easy way to see who's working. Right now you'd have to start a conversation with each person, or click each person in the company contacts to view the status in their profile. It would make things a lot easier to have this presence state visible in the list view. Bonus if the company contacts could be sorted/grouped by dept.

  18. Have an additional read-only tab in the User Settings section called "Memberships", broken down into all types of Group, e.g. Queues, Call Pickup, Park Locations etc, that lists out which the user belongs to. This would save the admin(s) from clicking through each Queue in turn to find all members, much like in the Custom Role overview, where all user assigned the Role can be viewed.

  19. Imagine a world where you can click on one of your nearly infinite voicemails, then hitting ctrl-a (or just clicking on the 'select all' button). Now you've got like 1,245 voicemails from jealous ex's, desperate vendors, and unrequited direct supervisors. They are all selected. Now absolve yourself from the weight of these disconnected communication attempts, tugging on the last threads of your sanity. When you select all, you don't even need to see who is calling. Just delete that BS. Get it gone from your life. Catharsis in a button. Bonus points for the developer that adds a toilet flushing sound…
