Disable "AI is taking notes" when on call
We need an ability to turn off the announcement on the "AI notes" as its taking a few seconds before I can answer the call
Hi everyone, we hear your feedback and understand this is a pain point. Our product team is currently exploring options to get this addressed. Thank you!

I noticed that there is now an option, at the company level, to replace the recorded message. I replaced the messages with a second of silence but the normal message still plays.

We are having the same issue. However, it's only on specific lines not all.

any day now ring central turn this feature off

This is critical and the customers are weirded out about the notification. This needs to happen asap. Its sad we even have to have a discussion about this feature. If we can change the Call recording notification this should also be possible.

This is very important for a new customer who is going live this month. there are new laws that impact call centers as well as existing ones that make any type of recorded announcement a compliance issue, notification has to be from a live human vs. a robo voice.

This needs to happen ASAP, just started with Ring Central and this is beyond frustrating, Every time I say hello I get interrupted by an Automated Voice stating AI is taking notes. It already says the calls being recorded. And it disrupts the flow of a call. If for some reason it 100% without a doubt has to be stated (which I dont think it does) then state it to them before the call actually connects.

Yes need to turn off "AI is Taking Notes". Scaring away customers. I have a hearing disability and this helps me manage my business.

Please hurry. What a horrible user experience!

This is negatively impacting our business - we want the ability to use the AI, but have turned this off as an org because we lack the option to turn off this announcement. We were not notified this would be a forced add to use this feature and need it addressed asap.

Hi Jessica, any idea as to when we can get an update on this? I recently joined RingCentral and would like to continue, but need to know if there’s a resolution. Thank you!

The AI announcement is disruptive to callers.
I’ve had 2 clients who refused to continue the call because they felt uncomfortable being recorded. End result, I lost 2 potential clients over this. However, the AI take notes tools is amazing!! I wish you had an option to enable or disable the announcement and still keep the AI take notes feature. It saves a lot of time but I also don’t want to continue losing clients over this announcement. I hope this gets corrected sooner than later. -

Yes, it interrupts our initial conversation. I understand there are some laws about this but can you make it the customer's responsibility?
If not, can you offer the option of AI summary only and not transcript and you delete the audio you used to create the summary after the summary is created? This way no human is hearing the recording, and I don't see a conversation summary as something that needs to be notified.

The AI tool is incredibly valuable, but its current approach of interrupting conversations with "AI is taking notes" announcements disrupts the user experience. Removing these interruptions would significantly enhance usability, making it an indispensable resource for users.

This should have been an optional transition to AI. The prior version had no announcement for the transcript and this impacts my business in a critical way.

Highly critical. AI speaks over the client, interrupts the flow of conversation. The tool is extremely beneficial, but can not continue to use with current "AI is taking notes" announcement on the front end. Once removed, it is a no-brainer & huge benefit to those who use it.

Absolutely needed! The automated message has to go- it's very awkward and interrupts people talking.
