Enable a true DND presence sync
Today you are required to use the RC app to put all of your devices into DND. Users should be able to press the DND button on the physical endpoint and that status should sync over to the other physical devices or softphones that are assigned to that user. This would make it much easier from an end-user perspective, especially those that don't want to bring up the app to enable DND.
Coming June 2024!

@Jessica Hernandez we are past "Coming June 2024!" and the Mitel 6930 and 6940 phones DND button still do not sync with the Ring Central App DND setting. Turning on the DND on the phone does not show that the user is on DND for anyone in the company.
What is the status on this update now? -

This is a critical feature for efficient call routing. Our staff needs to know if someone is on DND.
Yealink says this is a server-side feature that is available. Ring Central simply needs to apply this feature. -

yes, please fix this.

We have just moved to a BT Cloud Work/Ring Central phone system and we too have lost functionality, in that to truly be DND, you have to enable this on the app. We have no synchronisation between physical devices and the apps.
So from moving from our old phone system we have actually lost functionality which has had a big impact on our business.
I truly hope that Ring Central and BT Cloud Work are able to implement this feature very soon.

When DND in a Mitel Deskphone is turned on, it should be sync with RingCentral app and viewable by other Presence Key on other deskphones. This also seems to affect other phone models rather than Mitel.

This feature should be implemented as not all users will have access to the app but will have access to the physical phones.

Putting your physical phone in DND should sync across to the Ring Central app. Currently the system works the other way in that if you put yourself on DND through the app, it will show DND on the physical phone. It should work both ways. Not everyone uses the app and having to log into the app solely to turn on DND is cumbersome

The DND button on the desk phones should sync with the Do Not Disturb options in the Apps. This is the way it works with other cloud phone providers like Mitel. I was shocked when I reported this issue, to be told by Support that this is a feature. When we click the DND button on our Mitel 6940 phones, it puts the phone into Do Not Disturb mode but the Apps still ring. If we set Do Not Disturb from the desktop App, incoming calls do not ring on the Apps or desk phones, but the desk phone still shows as available in the presence settings and does not display DND.

When a user puts their phone on DND, the BLF presence should update on the display of other phones. Right now, when someone sets their phone to DND, the presence appears as available to other users. This causes problems when transferring lines.

Once the user switch on the DND on their desk phone, it will give the cloud base system functionally not to ring to any forwarding numbers they have on their extension - a complete DND for the whole extension NOT only the desk phone

There is no syncing between RingCentral apps and physical desk phones except for when someone is on a call. If the desk phone could reflect that the person is "busy" when they are In A Meeting or have set themselves to DND in the RC app, that would be very helpful.

When on the phone with someone it's annoying when your desktop volume is on and you get a loud ring coming in. If the call can come in without ringing it would probably be more convenient.Thank You

When some users are on a current call, an incoming call will ring through the computer audio which interrupts and distracts the user from their current call. The RC Phone Application has a 'Mute other sounds while on a call' feature that would be very welcomed in the RC Desktop Application.

When a user puts themselves on DND on their handset we would like this information filter through to the application. Currently if a user puts themselves on DND on the handset it does not display as DND on the softconsole

Edward Jones is requesting a new feature enhancement that when a user on any device (Soft apps (RCApp, RC Phone, Mobile, Web) or Hard Phone) puts themselves in DND that this status is shown across all devices/endpoints.
