Call Park Notification Control in the RingCentral Desktop App
We need the ability to control the notification sound you get in the RingCentral app when a call gets parked. Currently, we have no control over it as it is tied to the "Direct messages" notification setting. If you change the Direct message notification sound, the parked call sound also switches over to that sound. It is very annoying as it makes you think you are getting a direct message every time a call gets parked. Ultimately, I would like to be able to disable the parked call notification all together. So if we had the choice to both change the sound or disable it, that would be a perfect solution.

commentedTotally agree with the concerns here. When every user tied to a Park Location gets bombarded with notifications—especially those who don’t need to act on them—it creates noise and risk. The workaround to disable all incoming notifications is not practical.
Please consider merging this into the broader, high-priority request: "Call Park Notification Control in the RingCentral Desktop App" (https://ideas.ringcentral.com/forums/958493-phone-messaging/suggestions/48082760). We need better admin controls and user-level notification settings for parked calls.

commentedIt doesn’t make sense that everyone gets these alerts. There should be a way to control who sees what.

commentedPark Location notifications are constant and usually irrelevant to me. It would be nice to limit who gets them.

commentedThis has created a lot of confusion at the front desk. It’s hard to know which calls we’re actually supposed to take action on.

commentedNotifications should be role-based. When they’re too broad, people start ignoring them altogether. That’s not good for communication or service.

commentedPark Location alerts aren’t helpful when everyone sees everything. It would be great if only the right people got notified.

commentedGetting notifications for every parked call in a location just creates noise. It’s not efficient if only one person needs to act on it.

commentedIt’s really distracting when I get notifications about calls I’m not responsible for. I’d rather only see what applies to me.

commentedThese alerts are constant and rarely something I need. I’d really appreciate an option to filter them out.

commentedHalf the time I don’t know what the call is or why I’m seeing it. We should be able to opt out of Park Location alerts.

commentedThe Parked call notification is very distracting to my coworkers and I. The ability to turn off or modify this notification would be very beneficial as it would make Ring more focused and help with efficiency in our work.

commentedThe parked calls notification is very disruptive and distracting when I am doing other work. This pop-up notification takes the focus off of my work to review this message, even when it does not apply to me. I think this is a problem and needs to be fixed so I can be more productive and get more work done!

commentedThe Notifications for the parked calls is more of a pain than help, the best option would be for the user or organization to decide whether the notifications to be turned off or turned on but not having a choice is not a good option for Ring Users

commentedThe Notifications for parked calls is very overwhelming and seems very unnecessary to me Ring has other features and capabilities that will let you know if there is a call on Park that you need to pick up such as direct messaging and text features. If this problem would be fixed that would be wonderful

commentedThis creates confusion, as the parked call sound mimics a direct message, leading to unnecessary interruptions. Ideally, we should be able to independently customize—or completely disable—the notification for parked calls. Providing options to both change the sound and toggle the alert off would be the optimal solution.

commentedThe parked call notification is overly intrusive. Whenever a call is parked, it interrupts workflow as I pause to see if it's meant for me or one of my associated ring groups.

commentedIt is very distracting when we get constant notifications for parked calls when we are busy on the teller line. It is very confusing if we are waiting for a response and hear the notification, but it is just a parked call. It would be nice if this problem could be fixed.
