Yealink has a great dual connect headset (WH63) that can flip between deskphone and softphone/computer. https://www.yealink.com/product/headset-wh63 Unfortunately, it is not compatible with Ring Central because Ring Central's firmware for the Yealink phones is outdated. This was my message to Yealink after hours of figuring this out. Is it possible to push/help Ring Central to update their auto-provisioned Firmware to V86 for the T42S and T46S Yealink Phones? If I update my T42S/T46S handset firmware to V86 so that I can use your WH63 headset, their settings will downgrade the firmware back to V81 and thus the headset is unusable.See: https://support.yealink.com/en/portal/compatibleHowever:

  2. Currently, if you disable/delete a user from the RC admin console, all conversations with this user disappear. This includes direct 1-on-1 communications, as well as ad hoc groups (not just their messages, but the whole group disappears). Often times, these groups contain pinned/bookmarked messages and attachments that are important.It would make more sense if the past employee's content was left intact, but their name/avatar/profile simply denotes their off-boarded status. A group shouldn't disappear until the last person in the group no longer has an account.

  3. When I create an event on the calendar for a group, it automatically sends out a notification to the group chat that I have created an event. It overwhelms our group chat when I have 30 events that I'm creating in a month! I would like to be able to turn off the notifications to the chat. Everyone sees the event on the calendar anyway.

  4. I would like more options for repeating events on the calendar. We have a bi-weekly meeting, but I have to manually create the event since the repeating options are only "every day, every weekday, every week, every month, every year."

  6. I use the different extensions on my account for different reasons/businesses. I don't like that in order to check my text messages, missed calls, etc for one extension, while I'm logged into another extension, I have to log off that extension and log back on into the other extension.

  7. This function was lost in the upgrade. We need this back to quickly sort our fax transmissions. We need the field of "fax number" along with "name" (name of recipient). After the upgrade, there is only one field for fax number available.

  8. We would like the ability to customize the corporate directory. The default settings are not appropriate/correct for all our lines. For example:We have managers whose assistants screen their calls. They would like to not have their own extension listed but be able to list their assistant's extension under their name in the directory.   9. When an employee leaves our company, we disable and then delete their extension (per RC Admin training), effectively dropping the extension into the 'Unassigned Extensions' page/list. If the phone 'object' (GLIP, RC Phone, physical phone, etc) associated with that terminated user was added to any other extensions' call flow, the phone object is still listed in the call flows even after the associated user has been disabled & deleted. When we re-use that unassigned extension for a new employee, the associated phone object is still in all of the call flows that the terminated employee was in. RC support told…

  10. This allows you to simply glance at the wigit & see if there is a voicemail. WhatsApp, Email, Messages all have this feature. It is better for efficiency & business flow. I would recommend that RC consider adding this feature.

  11. Implement a feature on admin portal to fully disable call blocking for users either by user, group, role, site or company wide. Users can still block calls in the phone app under history (even if role is setup with the Screening, Greeting & Hold Music unchecked (which blocked calls is a subset of)). This way the control is on the admin users and end users would not be able to use or change that feature unless admin portal settings are updated.

  12. It would be infinitely useful to have a feature where admins can export a list of all of their queues with their members. Have needed this multiple times but according to support the only way is to view each queue and copy the members out manually. This does not scale well. Hard to believe this doesn't exist.

  13. Please consider providing a way to set a red "Busy" Status manually without blocking message sounds the way the "Do Not Disturb" Status does in Ring Central (Classic).

    Preferably a customizable Status where you could put a Red busy color, and then type in the reason for "Busy" (i.e. - Away, Training, etc ...).

  14. This must've changed recently? I typically have my phone on DND 90% of the time (but want the flexibility to easily switch back-n-forth). I liked that I didn't get notifications on missed calls BUT voicemails would come through passively (as badge # on phone app or showing in desktop app). Recently I noticed that the phone app no longer passively shows voicemail notifications when in DND (unless I physically open the app).Please bring this setting back! Or allow customization with notifications in the different modes... Or make another versions of DND with voicemail/fax notifications on.Appreciate the ability to leave feedback!

We recently were informed that a user received a fraud attempt via text message to her RingCentral number, but we have no way to search our system for any others who may have received this message to take corrective action. This would be a very useful feature as more communication is done via text channels and fraud attempts are on the rise.

  18. Currently, the only way to mask numbers is by creating a customized role for users and masking their numbers that way. Instead, there should be an option or a feature to list specific numbers as Masked rather than creating a role for it

  19. With the newest RingCentral update, we are having all 3 parties on a simple conference call, hear a notice to announce yourself to join a call. This is not a meeting that we've scheduled, it's a simple connection of 3 people. We should have the option to remove this. We were given a workaround to hit *#8 to remove the announcement. We are making hundreds of conference calls per day. This is not a good solution. We need this addressed ASAP.
