  1. When I click Join for a video meeting, there is a dropdown list of past invites. It shows only five rows, of which one has the description "RingCentral Video meeting" which is so vague that it is useless, another is a link to join my own personal meeting, and the fifth was a meeting I was invited to once to interview a job candidate - but these rows never leave my list. Other meetings that I join regularly, in other users' personal meeting rooms for example, do not show up no matter how often I meet with them, so I…

  2. Any new hire has to be added manually to team channels. It would be great to be able to make "default" team channels" for all staff upon account creation so that when they join, those channels are there already. Or for example, since we have multiple offices, adding default team channels based on an attribute like state or office location would be awesome

  3. This feature would be useful when you have many windows open. This would keep the application in the most prominent position.

  6. Having the ability to sign in to the app as a call queue extension would be beneficial to those of us that have a call queue assigned as the Operator Extension and receive text messages to that call queue extension. In our case, we have all text messages sent to our main number directed to a call queue that alerts our help desk to the message. Previously, someone could use the (now legacy) RC Phone app to sign in as the call queue extension and access the messages to either respond or delete them; it was also the only way…

  7. It would be great for RingCentral to filter out background noise. For example, if I'm speaking while in my car via the mobile app or via ring-out to my phone, the other party should not hear the the car engine, honking, door chime, door shut, etc. If I'm walking on a treadmill, they should not hear the treadmill. They shouldn't hear kids in the other room, a dog barking, coughing, keyboard tapping etc. This should work via all channels, i.e., desktop soft phone (Mac), mobile app, ring-out. Thus I would imagine this feature will need to be implemented within your…

  9. (service.ringcentral.com) For call queue management, this is where you go to retrieve voicemails and missed calls. The full-sized web page means you are scrolling back and forth to see what's on it. Please make it detect when you are on a mobile device and resize itself accordingly. Also, the voicemails do not play from here, the text transcription does not work, and the call-back by tapping the phone number does not work. Please fix these for the mobile platform.

  10. In most apps (on Mac), you can paste without style (or matching style) by using shift-command-v, but this doesn't work in the RC desktop app. This is even more important due to the fact that there's no remove formatting option on the text styling toolbar. So I'm constantly having to paste my text in another app, and then copying the plain text to paste back into the RC app.

  11. In Ring Central Classic app, you could adjust columns and be able to see a full task in list view and also see many more tasks on one screen before having to scroll. Now I can see only see a handful of tasks on the screen before needing to scroll and if I want to read the full task I have to click on each individual task. Not conducive for greater productivity when you have to click and scroll all the time.

  12. I would like the ability to give different IT admins granular read/write/delete role permissions. For example, I want someone to have the ability to view all phone numbers, but not the ability to delete it or to change it. I want to give someone the permission to view the Auto-Receptionist settings, but not change them. Or the ability to update call queue members but not to delete it.

  13. I would like to see more granular controls in the user admininstration permission group under "Roles", so that we can remove specific abilities such as adding and deleting users, but still give certain staff the ability to access user settings such as call handling, and to apply user templates.

  15. As any 2FA mechanism it can harden the information shared within our Glip accounts and teams and it can prevent someone who guesses or brute forces our username/password to access this information. It can also a great marketing feature as a part of your product's expansion to Europe, while been one step closer to compliance with regulations like the GDPR. An other reason of applying this feature is that other major communication software/SaaS/PaaS already include it in their infrastructure's free plans (i.e. Slack).

  16. The ability to press a button in a voicemail greeting to break out to a specific extension. example:"I am not available to take your call, leave a message at the tone, or press 9 if this is an emergency to be transferred to XXX".

  17. Currently, queue members can only hear voicemails through the use of an E-mail attachment if they have e-mail notices turned on. They cannot delete any queue voicemails. The messages will pile up until it hits the max of 200 in the box. The only way to let someone delete those is to give them "Phone System Admin" access, which let them access way too many other sensitive settings of the system. That is just wrong!A queue member should be able to delete a queue voicemail from the app, or at the very least, from the service portal without access to…

  19. My understanding is that currently an IVR is coded as follows:1) Play IVR Message2) Await DTMF Key from caller for short period. If no key is received, the process is repeated 3 times before the IVR "times out", and then either DISCONNECTS the call or transfers to an extension. It would be much more usable if you configure:1) How many times to repeat before timing out (Currently hard coded to 3)2) How long to wait for DTMF before either timing out or repeating.2) Provide more choices for timeout like connecting to a voicemail etc.

  20. Callers often just press any random button (usually 1) just to get to the next menu, as they're just trying to press any buttons they can to be connected with a human. This causes a HUGE problem with the company trying to intelligently route calls, and ends up costing the caller MORE time in then a human trying to connect them to the right department. There should be a feature that can be turned on and off, to force a caller to hear the entire audio prompt recording, before making their selection. This is also standard practice in virutally ALL…
