    Specific user is receiving unwanted text messages we highly suggest for the system to filter the SMS received for unwanted SMS and automatically block them in RingCentral phone numbers.

  6. Way to view additional guest information—such as their name or contact details—on the RC app when a message is received. Currently, we’re only able to see the guest’s phone number, but it would be incredibly helpful operationally if we could also pull their reservation number, email address, and name through the API.

    Most importantly, it:

    Encourages timely replies: Knowing the sender can see when they've read a message may prompt faster responses.

    Enables follow-ups: If something is read but unanswered, it signals when it’s appropriate to follow up.

  13. Summary:
    In the current implementation of the AI Receptionist (AIR), the SMS messaging feature is restricted to using only the super admin extension as the sending number. This limits flexibility and usability for organizations that require communication to be routed through other user extensions or departments.

    Current Behavior:

    When accessing the “Send Text Message” feature within the AI Receptionist, only the super admin extension is available as the sending number.

    There is no option to select or assign another user extension or number.

    Requested Enhancement:

    Provide the ability to select from a list of eligible user extensions or direct numbers…

  17. Currently, phone numbers provisioned through the Sinch carrier do not support Group SMS/MMS functionality. This limitation severely impacts business communication workflows, especially for teams that rely on real-time, transparent group messaging with clients, partners, or internal departments.

  19. RingCentral App doesn't make any attempt to handle those carrier restrictions.

    Some of the carriers apparently lowered their size limits but RC App still on 1.5 MB Limit
    Users will think that 1.5 is the limit but with other carriers it only allows 1 MB.

    Requesting for a feature wherein RingCentral App will automatically detect carrier MMS limit so users would be notified if the file being sent to another carrier is exceeding the limit regardless if they update their limit.

  20. Customer is not happy regarding our process in manually enabling the SMS feature of a newly added Canadian number for SMS. It would be best if the SMS feature would be enabled by default for Canadian numbers especially if it would be only use to send SMS inside Canada.
