  1. This week (around March 4th, 2025), the desktop version of RC changed so I can no longer see the SMS history when sending a new text message. I want to be able to type in a number or contact name and see the history of the text thread instead of a blank window with nothing of the previous messages. Please switch it back!

  3. Have the option to use the call queue ext as SMS recipient and not just a regular extension.


    Customer verbatim:
    Hi, all of our call queues SMS recipient is currently configured to go to my extension. How do I change call queue to receive text message to it's direct number? We also want to receive text message notification by email.

  6. The user is registered for inbound SMS only, but they are seeing the message at the bottom: “You can’t send or receive texts until your number(s) have been registered with US carriers. Register here.”

    This message confuses the user about whether they still need to register or not. The admin is requesting to remove the SMS reminder for TCR registration.

  7. I would like to request the ability to send hyperlinked text (i.e., clickable anchor text) in SMS or MMS messages sent through the RingCentral app.

    Currently, RingCentral supports sending raw URLs (e.g., https://example.com) via SMS. While these URLs are clickable on most modern devices, they often appear lengthy, messy, and not user-friendly — especially when communicating with clients or customers.

    The goal is to enable a cleaner experience where a custom label or anchor text can be used instead of displaying the full URL.

  11. Allow sorting of "text message templates". We use them a lot and it would be amazing to have them sorted by category (either numerically or alphabetically) so as not to have to search down a long list of responses that are out of order. Please add this feature!!

  13. We currently cannot quickly text a customer while we are on the phone with that customer while using the desktop program on computer (not the extension). We have to take multiple steps such as: Go to text and create a new text, search their contact, etc. A simple and easy solution to this would be one of 2 options below:Show the Ongoing Call in the calls area, while we are on the call (currently the call only shows after we end the call).   15. It's important to see the number where the customer sent the text from. To know which assigned number it came from and to track the customer's information. Please put back the feature on the RC Desktop App and Mobile App. Screenshot was taken 03/26/2024 at that time we can see from what number we were texting from.

  16. We have 9 SMS campaigns. Many are fully populated. When a person leaves the organization and is deprovisioned, the number is freed up for use by someone else. Right now, there is no easy way to see if the number is tied up in a campaign. It would be very helpful to have a report of all of the numbers that are in all of the campaigns. Right now we would have to open all nine to see if there are any numbers in campaigns that are now available for use by another person that needs the SMS capability.

  18. Currently, customers can only opt out of receiving SMS messages by replying "STOP" to text messages from individual phone numbers. This process can be cumbersome for accounts with multiple numbers, as customers must opt out separately for each one.

    We request a feature that allows customers to opt out of SMS messaging across all numbers within their account simultaneously. This centralized opt-out option would improve user experience by providing a simpler and more efficient way to manage SMS preferences and ensure compliance with opt-out regulations.
