  2. Currently, user templates must be manually applied after creating each user or limited extension to enforce standard settings (such as ring patterns, disabling AI features, etc.). This is time-consuming and can lead to inconsistent configurations.

    Please add an option to automatically apply a selected template—or predefined default settings—to all new users and limited extensions at the time of creation. This would reduce administrative effort and ensure consistent settings.

  3. Ring used to allow cross-site access mgmt by default and caller id was restricted to numbers in the same site. Now the caller id option is a sub-option under cross-site access mgmt. It would be beneficial to have both options independent of each other. Be able to allow cross-site mgmt but also restricting caller id in the dialer to only numbers in their own site.

  4. The customer would like to have an option to turn off the ringing of Call Queue Pick Up members' devices for incoming calls and instead just show a flashing light on their devices if there's an incoming call on the call queue that they are monitoring.

Requesting the ability to permanently enable or turn on the “Opt-Out” message for SMS/Text within the RingCentral app. This feature would allow users to ensure that all outbound text messages automatically include the opt-out information, improving compliance with messaging regulations and reducing the need to manually add the opt-out message for each conversation.

  9. I need the ability to create Workflows where the RingCentral call recording link and the call transcript can be sent as variables to our application. This would enable smoother integration with our systems and allow us to automate processes using call data more efficiently.

    Currently, this functionality is not available, and having it implemented would greatly enhance the flexibility and utility of RingCentral Workflows for developers and users.

  12. Poly Lens is a great management tool developed by Poly (now HP) to allow administrators to push policies and custom configuration down to Poly handsets. They have some integrations already with Microsoft and Zoom. It would be fantastic to have RingCentral work with them to have RC added to their integrations list, allowing the phones to be provisioned to RingCentral but configuration managed by Poly Lens.

  14. Right now, in your Text Messaging support, when sending a text to more than one recipient, you have a checkbox: "Create group text". I have a user type for whom I want this box to NEVER be checked. I want them to be able to bulk-text customers, but not be able to loop those customers into a shared group text. Is it possible to disable that checkbox on a given role?

  15. Feature Request: Customizable Softkey Layout for Cisco Phones

    We would like to submit a feature request regarding the softkey configuration on Cisco phones.

    Currently, the softkey layout is predefined and follows RingCentral’s standard design, with no option for customization. While this standardization ensures consistency, some customers have expressed a strong preference for the ability to modify the softkey layout according to their specific workflows and operational needs.

    We request the introduction of a feature that would allow administrators (or users, where appropriate) to customize the softkey configuration on Cisco phones. This could include:

  16. Currently, when a user enables Do Not Disturb (DND) on their physical desk phone (hard phone), the RingCentral system automatically interprets the user as unavailable. As a result, all incoming calls are routed directly to voicemail, and the configured ring settings or call forwarding rules set in the Admin Portal → User Settings are not followed.

    The requested enhancement is to provide an option or behavior where, even if the desk phone is set to DND, the system will still follow the user’s configured ring settings — such as ringing their mobile phone, softphone app, or other forwarding numbers —…
