  1. Sometimes , messages are received and read , but not responded to immediately. If it is followed up by many other received messages, then that message may be forgotten and buried in the list of SMS threads. There is currently no way to generate a report for text messages that have been received but have not been responded to. The idea is to generate a report (manually or automatically displayed in the admin portal), where the timeframe (ie. last 7 days, 14 days, or 1 month) can be specified and all text messages not responded will be listed.   4. I just called Ring Central today and the IVR was completely different than what it use to be. It now has more features for announcements while on hold. It gives the caller an estimated hold time. It also sends text messages to the caller's phone number when the caller says "send chat" or whatever the prompt is. I wonder why that option is not available for their customers. Companies have been using those features for years and they are now outdated, but we still don't have those features available to us.   6. It would be benefial if the RC system could send a text message to a single cell phone number or even a list of cell phone numbers so that when a voicemail has been left in a specific mailbox a group of people can be notified.

Date and time stamp should be included in all text messages being sent within the RingCentral desktop app. At times, this is used in conjunction with our Accounting team to receive confirmation from users to approve certain matters. Having the text message only read 'today' does not help to validate when the communication actually took place (date and time). The only time date and time is included together is when it's a past date.

  9. As a mortgage bank using ringcentral for our Loan Officers, processors and underwriters, disclaimers and opt outs must be available to all communications with borrowers and clients. Legally we must have them on all emails but in using SMS with Ringcentral we are unable to do so and it is protenatilly causing us to change our future plans with RingCentral...whcih we do not want to do!

  10. Currently there is no way for administrators to manage the individual SMS functions of their team without support. Much like Faxing to the desktop has an "ON/OFF" toggle on the user level, now that SMS is not unlimited and for other factors, administrators should be able to self manage who has the right to send/receive SMS to their RCO App. Perhaps in addition a limit to how many messages they can send without additional approval. With regulations becoming more strict as well for business' SMS this will grow in importance.

  13. Service Providers that use software to send texts and mms. Other softwares have selectable providers like Verizon, Sprint, Tmobile,ATT etc. for example, Verizon is vtext.com. example 4075551212@vtext.com. Something like sending a fax to 4075551212@rcfax.com, to have a rctext.com or rcmms.com would be great. (But how could you charge for it to the sender lol. Probably why its not a feature to consider!

  16. We are sending texts to our clients all the time. To personalize this, we sometimes like to instead send them a little video in which we thank them in person, introduce the company, etc etc, different themes in different videos. With just 1.5 MB limit per video in SMS, this is impossible. It would be an absolute awesome addition to our client approach and make us stand out to competition as well.

  17. Im a small business owner and looking to have one central location or hub that is shared between multiple users (extensions). For example: Phone calls, SMS, Voicemail, and missed calls can be viewed and responded by all users under one umbrella. Currently and specifically SMS & Voicemails go to one specific extension (say extension 101, but ex 102 should also have access to those SMS and Voicemails) and only that extension has access to it, which clogs the system of communication. ALL extensions should have the ability to hear voicemails and respond to SMS in the central location or hub.…

  19. We text our clients a LOT. To the point it can be difficult to keep track of things that have been addressed or not. Having some of the functionality available in normal Messages for SMS threads would be a huge help to manage them. I realize SMS doesn't support the interactive type features where both sides of a convo see things (tasks, events, etc). But being able to do things like Pin specific texts, Attach files to a thread, have the images tab show any images sent/received, assign a task/event (and perhaps give the task assignee visibility to the thread),…

As a refuse hauler dealing with a couple thousand customers, it would be beneficial to be able to upload a CSV file of our clients on routes to send a text message from RingCentral that all would receive at the same time. Alerts reguarding Holiday pickup schedule, route changes, and past due bill.
