  5. The customer would like to customize the caller ID display on Yealink desk phones for calls routed through a Call Queue. Specifically, when a customer dials the company hotline and the call is answered by a user in the queue, they want the phone display to show additional internal information associated with the customer’s extension or account.

    Current Behavior:
    Currently, the phone displays:

    The Call Queue number that was dialed (e.g., Hotline Number), and

    The caller's phone number.

    Requested Behavior:
    Instead of displaying just the phone number in item #2, the customer would like to show custom text such as:

  7. Currently, Workflow Builder limits SMS ID to direct lines only. We propose enhancing this feature to allow the use of alternative phone numbers as SMS IDs. This expansion would provide greater flexibility for businesses with multiple phone lines or those wishing to use dedicated numbers for specific workflows.

  8. We wants to use the RingCentral number assigned to extension 1 to send SMS messages through a HubSpot workflow. However, instead of showing the extension 1 as the sender, they want the message to appear as if it was sent by the HubSpot/Sales contact owner.

  12. The Admin is requesting a feature that would allow admins to schedule monthly fax log reports for the previous month and have them automatically sent out. The requested functionality should include the ability to select specific users to be included in the report, rather than generating logs for all users. Additionally, the customer would like the option to filter these reports by Site or Department, which is not currently possible in the Admin Portal.   13. When we upload the Shared directory of external contacts in the RingCentral Admin Portal by default, the contacts are showing on the Company tab of the RingCentral app.

  14. When we swap phones to another user in the Admin Portal the phone is not coming up with the new users information. It is basically saying there is no user assigned. We have tried this multiple times. Hoping support can help work this one out.

  18. We’d like to submit a feature request related to role-based access control for Call Queues and Message-Only Extensions in RingCentral.

    Current Behavior
    At present, the ability to create new Call Queues, Ring Groups, and Message-Only Extensions is tied to Group Management permissions, which are included in the Supervisor role. As a result, supervisors can both create and manage these objects.

    Customer Need / Use Case
    Customers would like to:

    Restrict the creation of new Call Queues and Message-Only Extensions to Phone System Admins only

    Continue allowing Supervisors to:

    Manage queue membership

    Adjust schedules

    Manage message-only co-recipients

    Perform day-to-day operational changes

  19. New Account Set Up. When setting up a new account the criteria for choosing a PIN are not shown statically before you create the PIN. The criteria are shown only as a dynamic indicator below the field where you must create and enter a new PIN. Many sites that ask the user to create new "PINs" require alpha-numerical formats (technically passwords/passkeys) but there is no way to know that the required PIN is numerical only- until you start typing a number first.
