  1. We are trying to emulate a feature in our current Avaya PBX that allows multiple extensions to forward to the same IVR menu. For example dialing 12345 or 54321 would end up at a common IVR at 55500. We have custom hours and calling rules setup around 55500 and we would like those to be honored from any of the numbers that were called.It is proposed we setup the 55500 IVR as a separate Site, that allows the handling rules to be shared regardless of which original extension was dialed.   3. There should be total control of what kind of notifications users receive when there are changes made to their account. In my environment there should not be an email sent out to everyone that is part of a call monitoring group any time there is a change made. There should not be any notification when a role is changed. That responsibility to inform the user should solely belong to us, the Administrators and Supervisors. It's caused a bit of a panic amongst our users when emails, unbeknownst to us are sent out to them regarding changes we've made.

  4. If I want to see is someone is green, I have to click Search, then type their name, then click on them to see if they are green or red. I'd like to see their status in the search results so I have an idea if they'll answer the phone without clicking on them first.

For those of us who use a different calendar (e.g., iCal) or those who don't want to connect third party services, it seems really silly that you can't see your list of scheduled meetings by default. Not being able to see scheduled meetings without a calendar connection makes it tricky to find the meeting in order to launch said meeting... unless you have saved a copy of the invite somewhere when you first create the scheduled event (I assume?)Also tricky to make any changes to that scheduled meeting... I don't understand how this isn't already a feature!

  9. It's important to touch-base on unanswered phone calls with an automatic text message informing them of a callback or any helpful information if the person they are calling or the line itself is busy.

  10. Our company works with fairly large files (5-30 pages long) that must be sent to different organizations exclusively by fax. We understand that the organizations that must receive these files also serve other companies in the country so our faxes may just be hitting busy lines when we send them. Currently, the fax messages say that the transmission of the fax failed but there is no indication of how it failed. The support article for fax failures only says to check for file size, if there are special characters in the file name and to review network and firewall settings.…

  13. We have some user complains about the ringer notification sound from RC extension in google chrome. RingCentral support suggested to choose "OFF" as the RC ringtone in RC desktop app or from web interface. Despite that we hear classic phone ring sound when there are incoming phones. we would like to have an option to turn this ringer sound off.

  16. When super admins download logs for MVP chat messages, they should being in a downloadable, easy to read format (a csv instead of txt file) where it clearly states the users extension and name instead of a creator id.

  17. Currently in RingCentral phone app, contacts are searchable only by First Name, Last Name or Phone number. Contacts should be searchable by any populated field. We would appreciate if contacts were searchable by at least Nickname or a custom ID (example employee number or customer number), I'm sure this will be very helpful for other customers too. RC - Please implement it asap.Others - Please vote and comment. If you have raised a similar idea, please provide reference to that so that RC can merge all ideas and imeplement them.

  18. Please make call handling rights more granular in roles. For instance allow users to set direct forwarding but not change the personal business hour settings.

  19. Please create a feature that allows us to forward a voicemail to another RingCentral user within the company directory. Current I would need to download the audio and upload it back to message. Its not efficient. Another suggestion is to attach the audio with the email notification of the voicemail transcription

  20. Especially with numbers tied to either a mobile user, call queues, and/or message-only extensions to be used to receive faxes and calls. It would be nice to be able to use it as an outbound caller ID since the number is considered as a company number.
