  1. Old RC would provide sound notifications even if your app was focused. You could be ative in a team, and still receive sound notifications for other teams. Now, you do not get any sound notifications if the app is focused - it NEEDS to be out of focus / not active in order to get sound notifications.

  3. With nearly every new release to the RC Phone app, the app begins prompting users to update before the new version has been deployed to the RingCentral download repository. Users are reporting the app has an update but administrators don't have an MSI/EXE to deploy to devices.How about waiting until the repository has the new version before prompting users? Would save administrators some headache. I constantly have to tell them to ignore it or I reach out to RC support to get a download link for the new version.Repository:https://support.ringcentral.com/download.html

  4. It would be very useful to be able to create a message-only extension that does not require interaction beyond administrator creation. Administrators should be able to configure the PIN code and activate without an end user receiving an email and performing activation procedures.

  5. Emergency Location keeps popping up whenever starting the RC applications on the computer/desktop. We'd like to check if it's possible to incorporate the emergency location settings (like options to keep the address as is and won't be asking to confirm whenever opening the apps). This will lessen the hassle from the customers' part.

  6. Multi-site has option to change caller ID for outbound calls however for SMS, it doesn't have option to select SMS ID. It automatic to the Digital line number. It would be better to have this option to strengthen the multi-site settings distinguishing it from the main number or location. Giving us flexibility in selecting the virtual number (serving us main number) on that location as SMS ID when sending out SMS to our clients. Whether for Tasks or Teams, RingCentral Classic was the backbone of our company communication, but the new app is terrible.In RC Classic, far fewer clicks were required to get from one place to another (there are now two left columns in the new RingCentral app), tasks made better use of screen real estate (further explained below), and tasks could be more easily sorted, categorized, and viewed.   10. You can edit call forwarding options at a user level, by dragging and dropping them around. However on the phone system itself you cannot re-order custom IVR answering rules.We are a new customer, and currently there are no bank holiday rules in there. If we added these they would conflict with other rule timings. In order for this to work we have been advised we would need to delete all our live rules, put the bank holiday rule in and then re-add all the rest.We should be able to drag and drop these rules around without the need for deleting…

Hi,There is a Dial-By-Name feature already in the RC platform, just not a Dial-By-Extension, an extra selectable option in the IVR settings would be ideal rather than just 'First Name' & 'Surname' as I struggle to demonstrate the use case in which iIcan deploy Dial-By-Name solution effectively. NOTE: Currently RCs platform allows DTMF tones during ‘Audio while connecting’ and during the voicemail prompt.   15. Many of the included ringtones are not attention grabbing or dont really sound like a phone. The ringcentral phone app for desktop (phone icon) has this feature, I think it should also be added to the RingCentral app (R icon) which is supposed to be more feature rich.

  17. Is there a way we can implement a way to successfully unsubscribe from SMS messages from those who use shortcodes that match user's extensions? Example: 80468 is a short code for a company's marketing campaign, but if this matches a users extension when the user texts "Stop" it goes to the extension and not the short code number. Without changing their extension is there a way this could be corrected?

  20. Add an interface to allow button templates and customizing phone settings. There is already a provisioning tools setup since anytime you add someone to the HUD it adds a speed dial/monitor button to the Yealink phones.
