  2. RingCentral Feature Request: Improved Voicemail Forwarding for Message Only Extensions

    Current Limitations:
    While RingCentral allows setting voicemail notifications for existing email addresses, this functionality isn't available for "Message Only Extensions" under Phone System > Groups.
    Currently, there's no way to manually forward existing voicemails on Message Only Extensions to a newly added external email address.

    Proposed Feature:
    • Implement the ability to forward existing voicemails stored on a Message Only Extension to a user-specified external email address.
    • This functionality should be accessible within the Message Only Extension settings in Phone System > Groups.

  4. For large retail business, it is difficult to enable HUD feature on each device mobile App. Customer wants to enable HUD by default or from Service Web enable for all users. We have a potential customer with 3000 Zebra devices wants this functionality.

  5. Auto dial a list of phone numbers uploaded on their admin portal. Auto dial the number uploaded and if the client didn't answer the call the auto dialer will call the next phone number.

In many organizational settings, particularly those with shared resources such as common area phones or generic departmental extensions, there exists a need to activate users on the RingCentral platform without necessarily tying them to a specific email address. Currently, the activation process within the RingCentral Admin Portal requires an active email address to proceed, posing challenges for scenarios where users do not have dedicated email accounts associated with their RingCentral profiles. As a result, customers are required to engage RingCentral support to request force activation, which can be time-consuming and inefficient.

We would like for RingCentral to disable the ability for users to be able to post GIFs in text messages on the RC mobile app. It doesn't appear that the GIF function is built into the app (rather, it's a keyboard shortcut option on one's smart phone) but this opens up the possibility for users to send inappropriate images (internally or externally).

  13. After a custom rule is crafted, I'd like the ability to schedule the turning on and turning off of the rule. Example: We have a site that is normally closed on Fridays, their on-hours schedule lists them as open on Fridays, so that we can still present callers with central service options. We route calls to that special IVR using a custom rule covering every Friday. They'd like to answer calls at the site on a few random Fridays -- but there is currently no easy way to schedule that.

  15. RingCentral currently uses the Lato font, which is particularly difficult for dyslexic users to read. Dyslexic-friendly fonts include:

    Arial
    Comic Sans
    Verdana
    Helvetica
    Tahoma
    Century Gothic
    Trebuchet
    Calibri

    In addition, 12pt or larger is generally preferred because it allows for spacing between letters, which again increases readability.

  17. Some customers would like admins to be able to see and control the RC App Status of any user within the system. For example, if a customer has a team of people that are a part of after-hours/on-call support team and a Supervisor needs to make sure on-call resources are actively marked as "Available" within the RC App during their shift so that calls are delivered.

  18. Admin ability to disable Calendar sync option in the RC App. Customers that utilize O365 or G-Suite need to ability to disable the the calendar service that they are not utilizing. This would close a security gap for Enterprise customers that do not want users to able to add their personal calendars to the RC App

  19. Customer would like the ability to full remove fax from the user profile and not have it show up in the RC Phone app, RC App and RC Mobile. This would remove the icon to compose a fax, remove reference to faxes sent,received, failed from the messages tab. Would like it to be a selectable option in custom roles.
